Damn, that's too bad. The Lilikoi Kepolo is awesome and can't wait to try the Rexx. Also, got your brew at the store man!

Traveling through Columbus, OH on Monday. Any places in the city or surrounding that have an awesome bottle selection? Wouldn't mind a nice place with a good tap list either. Help me out beer bros!

How did the BA Coffee/Vanilla Axis Mundi release go? Anyone in Columbus head down to Mad Tree to score some? I will be going through Columbus tomorrow for a brief time and was hoping to set up a trade for a bottle.

    1) Weilands is a great place to start - bottles and growler station (right off I-71 and EN Broadway):

    2) Just a few miles northwest of there is Kenny Road Market. They always have Jackie O's and keep a nice bottle selection behind the counter which anyone can buy(Very close to State Rt 315 and Bethel Road):

It really depends on what route you are taking through town. There are quite a few but both of those two do a great job.

Regarding the Madtree BBA Axis Mundi with CV release:
I will happily eat my words from earlier this week, where I questioned a Thursday release, because I thought they would be sold out before I got off work. Well I got some at 8:30, so it's safe to say bottles lasted longer then I expected.
Madtree did a great job with this beer and I will be trying to obtain more when it hits distro. I hope it makes its way up to Columbus so you guys can also enjoy its coffee and vanilla goodness!

I thought I read JAFB will be there this season and some others - I think Fat Heads, Great Lakes, maybe Columbus Brewing?

Yes, Buckeye Canning struck a deal to can some beers for Browns games, including Fat Heads, Willoughby, etc. as well as Hoof Hearted, who don't make it to Cle and some JAFB, who are packaging for the first time and only make it to a few places in Cle that drive down to grab kegs. JAFB is expanding and Cleveland will likely see more of their stuff in a year or so - same for Hoof Hearted.

I find it interesting... Is the average Browns fan looking for Hoof Hearted, Willoughby and JAFB? I guess I would, I mean any one reading this would... However, would the average football fan? Maybe that just shows how much Craft Beer has grown. I guess its good... Good and interesting.

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to say it because I thought I'd offend all the browns fans lol. I'm pretty sure they are going to look right past HH and go right for those domestic tall boys. I can't see up and coming craft beer selling well at games. Seems like a waste to me.

For the most part you guys are right about Browns games and what ppl drink. But it's likely no different than any other NFL stadium, and with 70,000 ppl there is likely representative of the full beer drinking spectrum. Last yr was the first time I noticed craft taps. Having Head Hunter right under my section was the best stadium
    Upgrade for me.

I know! Imperial Pils tastes great and the $4.99 price point is hard to beat.

Looks like it was added to the Tap House menu. Did the recipe change recently though? The Tap House list says it's made with Simcoe, Citra, Columbus, and Chinook, and the Fat Head's Portland site similarly says Simcoe and Citra. I thought it was mainly Mosaic though.

Not sure, but I know they do change stuff at times. Hope they didn't change too much, the last few batches were near perfect.

Just remember, a 12oz Bud is around $10. Some of the craft options will be 16oz, higher ABV at the same price. Will everyone grab them? Prob. not, but it's not a waste to have options, and there may be some converts. Just wish they had a clue about freshness and storage.

l personally love that sporting venues have craft beer options now. Good local ones at that. It's a bonus part of the experience and I'm glad they're getting better in touch with what their attendees want.

Maybe some of the Cincinnati people can weigh in but I've read that they have been offering rotating taps at Reds games and I believe they did it with the Bengals games last year?

The day has finally arrived for Deschutes street pub, deff plan on hitting it up. Looks like the hours are 2-10 and the setup is on 29th and Detroit (Hingetown).

That's def my main concern... Just ship fresh kegs and have it on tap. Seems like fresh cans would be so much better served spread through out NE Ohio now, instead of literally aging in the warm (if that's true) storage of first energy stadium. I love that there are options though. Just intreasting I guess. I'm trying to imagine 'Joe Browns Fan' Mulling over Hoof Hearted or JAFB with his Joe Haden Jeresy on. Maybe it's the only thing that will make it bearable to attend.
