Nope. Lived in Ohio all my live, in the Circleville area mostly. Maybe Rockmill is well known in beer circles, but everyone I knew had no idea about it, some of which have lived in Lancaster for a while now.

I knew about the company, having seen them in stores, but didn't know they where so close.

Rockmill doesn't jump out at you or advertise very well. A couple years ago I thought they had the potential to become an Ohio version of Jester King, but it's looking more and more like they're content with just making belgians. Brew what you like, no shame in that.

"Gavel Slammer will be sold on draft and in 22-ounce bottles exclusively at the Akron brewery, which will open at 10 a.m. Nov. 25 and 26"

Until Monday Nov. 28 when it will hit full distro...

You mean Monday when it is placed on the vintage bottle list at 3x retail

It SHOULD. They are basing BCBS allocations off of certain GI beers.

Will CBC Citra Noel be fairly easy to find (a la Summer Teeth)? I saw an Instagram post that it should be in distro soon-- has anyone seen it?

"Winter Ale" doesn't is not a crazy popular style and it said to be a November - December release so I can't imagine it will be too hard to find.

Doesn't or is not? Make up your mind!

Also I'd be careful with assumptions. There was a lot of assuming that the bbvbm release would stick around for weeks like other releases and it didn't make it 3 days. not saying Citra Noel will draw the same buying spree but unless you know the amount produced it's hard to know for sure.

No one assumed the vanilla would be around for weeks. Regular maybe.

Citra Noel is our new seasonal 6pack for Nov/Dec. It'll go quickly early on, due to quantities packaged and the "new" factor.....but over the course of the season we will produce thousands of cases. It might take a couple weeks for inventory to be "flush." The idea is to have it NOT run out of stock until late December, but it's always a bit of a guessing game.

On a similar note, ThunderLips (as stated earlier) is supposed to be a new full time 6pack replacing OG Pale ale. This may take a little while to get a handle on how much we really need to produce in order to keep it in stock....but the eventual hope and plan is to NOT run out of stock and have it available full time (like Cbus IPA).

People who've seen BA Ten Fidy in the wild... How plentiful is it? I know they said nationwide distro but unsure how much is making out.

Honestly, the only, "Belgian" beers that I enjoy are the New Glarus Belgians. Their Belgian Red is amazing. Ive never found a Rockmill beer that I really enjoy though.
Its a shame because Id love to support Rockmill but its yet to happen.

Rockmill seems very popular in Columbus. I moved to Ohio about 5 years ago and at least here, Rockmill has a very loyal following.

I get your principal and all... But c'mon... Comparing a 6-pack hoppy amber that's hitting wide distro... To a imperial 12.7 variant that rested in Maple buorbon barrels for about a year. A variant of a beer that is like top 3 in the state none the less. You have to admit that's a lil out there. Generally when something hits 6-packs in distro it can be obtained with out selling your first born.

my place in Boardman (the hot spot of eastern ohio..) seemed to have a lot.. it was on 2 different shelves. i can't comment on how much they got, but it wasn't restricted to 1 per person, so I assume case(s)

I got 6 cans last week when they posted they had it. Its nice being able to take a lunch break whenever and just hop over there and get stuff before the end of the day.

    ***edit***
I think they said around 20+ cases...

Damn, 20 cases for one store? That's amazing. Have you had one yet and care to share your thoughts?

    So pumped for this!

Just went and checked the listing for this beer and it's (wrongly) listed as "retired". If that wasn't the case, it would be Top 5 on the "Top Rated Beers: Ohio" list, as well as being about #120 on the BA "Top 250 Beers" list. As it deserves to be.
    https://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/oh/
(Edit: Yes, I requested a change on the listing to "unretire" it.)

BTW, it is gonna see distro, albeit in small amounts.
