New to Ohio (2016)

For me still Madtree Ba coffee vanilla axis mundi followed by 50W BA DVS and Sherry Ink. Cranium behind all those but a solid choice.

 

Anyone see no rules yet?

 

Not I. I'm really having a hard time imagining that being available but looking forward if so.

I'm not all that surprised. BA Chickow! is a damn good beer. Regular Chickow! has a large cult following here in the 'Nati; maybe now the secret's out. To me though, BA Maple Chickow! was otherworldly! So amazing- hope to see it again.

I agree with @UcDru 50 West's BA Death Valley Shootout and Madtree's BA Coffee Vanilla Axis Mundi are the best 2 BA stouts in Cincy, hands down.

 

Perrin no rules definitely coming to Ohio heard a while back. Perrin even confirmed on Instagram recently.

 

Unfortunately for me, I haven't had BA Death Valley Shootout. I love BA CV Axis Mundi, but I definitely prefer Cranium.

Getting back to the topic of new to Ohio, Against the Grain 70k started hitting the shelves in Cincinnati today.

 

Yes DVS might have become my instant favorite. Its just a little more of that huge decadent barrel profile than anything that has come out yet

We're getting WWS Thursday afternoon, maybe a 2-4 bottles per person. We're getting 3 cases. Also, No Rules is coming VERY soon! Might be this weekend......

 

So I found out today that some stores in and around Akron that normally post on social media what big new beers they get in actually had WWS, and essentially sold out before they could even think about posting, because of that damn beer geek sixth sense

 

Glad to hear it. A couple of Black Fridays ago, a buddy and I hit up a big day at an establishment that had a good number of bigger (name/ABV) beers on tap.

For those of you who BA much more than I, would posting a thread to be some sort of central place to list all the joints having special beers for a Black Friday event be against the rules here?

Looking to kind of have a big day and it'd be nice to have everything in one spot to easily compare which places have the most desirable beers/create a list of a few spots that are in a relatively close perimeter.

Thanks in advance for making sure I don't make a "bad" post.

*edited to add beer releases in addition to places with extra special beers on tap. And I see the release thread in Mid-Atlantic, but in addition to releases, I'd just like to know what places from basically Canton-Cleveland are doing, if anything out of the ordinary, for Black Friday.
