If anyone is still looking for Oro, Highland Square Mustard Seed list put a case out. They also had 2 cases of Bodhi.

Oro was plentiful this time around. Saw it out everywhere around Akron. Good stuff

Not much new stuff coming out this week as far as I know. There might still be some Oro Negro kicking around and a new batch of Bodhi. There are always great regular offerings sitting on shelves in Ohio, too. Check Lizardville and Rozi's in Lakewood and 101 Bottles in Kent.

Yes, definitely go to Madtree. And, as @UcDru said, make a trip to The Party Source a top priority. It's the largest "beverage alcohol" store in America; not to mention it also houses a brewery (Ei8ht Ball). I like to call it "adult Disney World".

Also, make it a point to have lunch or dinner at the Fifty West brewpub. Their food is stellar and they make some of the best beer in the city.

Cappy's is great too, but it's a bit far out from the city center. Lots of premium/rarer bottles, plus a huge tap list with a crowler station so you can take 'em home. If you happen to be in northeast Cincy, definitely go there, but you may find enough bottles to be happy with from The Party Source.

I think we should start to work on a guide to our designated area. I loosely worked on one for CLE.. this is just a VERY rough draft. But as an example..... (add bottle shops and fav restaurants and breweries and attractions.

(((((Let's see, besides some of the more obvious attractions.... Rock Hall, GLBC, Sports games etc... I can think of a few less under the radar attractions.

    •Cool lil sight seeing deck~

I personally think its a must, but I'm a total Fat Heads bias... Middleberg location is for beer nerds... North Olmstead location is better for food~

    Then overtime we can add/subtract/edit

Of coarse we will have to do this in a new thread in the 'Great Lakes' Region thread. But I think most of us Ohioans can represent our region. Then we can edit on the fly and have a base for out of towners. Or even some of us in town who just don't know.

I have seen this done in other regions... Any one else on board with maybe helping make this happen?

I'm still waiting on rumblings of the Barrel Aged Nutsmasher release. Wasn't this supposed to be ready towards the end of the summer?

A keg of it was served at the party out at city tap for the birthday bash but i didn't make it. Last year's release was awesome. Took the wife and we got out of the house for a few hours for an amazing lunch and well run event. Was a nice break from the two toddlers running around our house if just for an afternoon.

Agreed, I thought last years event was great. Me and my wife went for our bottles and had an early dinner during the second session. The only negative I had was that we got there about 5 minutes after they started the second session, and they were already sold out of Nutsmasher on draft. It seemed like people from the first session stayed and were buying multiple glasses the second they started pouring. I know they said they are going to fix that for the next release, and I'm hoping they do.

I saw that a keg of the barrel aged Nutsmasher was being served at that party. Seems a little odd the brewery themselves didn't tap it first, or at all in this case. Maybe they are saving it for the next Nutsmasher release?

I was at the event in Sandusky with the barrel aged nutsmasher. Personally, I didn't think it was all that great. The barrel seemed to mute many of the flavors that makes nutsmasher so good in the first place. Weasel nutsmasher on the other hand, absolutely phenomenal.

We're very lucky how many breweries distro in our market but I'm very curious how some breweries do around here with sooo much variety. I feel the market speaks more to local breweries but I could be wrong. We have Terrapin coming into our market soon as well.

Does anyone know how Sweet Water has been doing in our market?

I will bite my tongue as well if Firestone Walker enters our market.

I loved Racer 5. One of the first IPAs that got me hooked on craft beer. When did they stop distributing? I'm asking out of curiosity, I feel like I noticed it 2-3 years ago but maybe I'm wrong.

Has regular Siberian Night production been scaled back recently? I've had a hard time finding it around me but lots of places have the BA version, when for years it seemed to be the other way around.
