Agreed. Although I was less in love with this years xoco compared to last years, it would still be fun to try.

 

Xocoveza Charred at Holloway Beverage Center Toledo area...although I refuse to buy anything there.

I absolutely love it when bottle shops (or distributors) cellar beers and randomly throw them on shelves. A friend noticed Barrel and Bottle posted a pic of Jackie Os Cab Cherry Man, Bell's This Goes All the Way to 11, Madame Rose, and a few other beers. I was free at the time so I went over and was lucky enough to grab the last Cab Cherry Man (2011 -- not sure it even saw distro?) and a 2012 Bell's to 11. I don't always have the patience to cellar beers that long -- love it when someone does the work for me.

Can't wait to crack them open -- obviously with the friend who gave me a heads up.

 

That batch I believe did make it into distro. I think the batches after it did not. I think around that time they also distro'd bottles of Wood Ya Honey.

 

Any guess as to how long this will be around?

 

The last couple of times in lasted quite awhile. If memory is correct, I think there were still some '15 bottles during the BBBM release. Speaking of, they posted today that they have '14 and '15 bottles (limit of 2 each) at the tap room too.

 

Those bottles only went to the Barrel and Bottle, just a case or two.

 

240 cases went to distro, we have about 350 here. The vintage bottles each have 9 cases left as of this morning.

Here's hoping that some of the bottle shops around Lakewood break up that Brew Kettle sampler so I can just grab one or two libres lol.
