The question I had was that I didn't see it being Maple Bourbon Chickow at FOBAB, just CHICKOW! But I digress, it's just a little too pricey for me. I'll just have to enjoy the Pappy Chickow that I have left.

They took the Chickow! batch that won at FOBAB and added maple syrup to it. That's what's for sale tomorrow.

This may not be the best place to ask this but, I am going to the CBJ game on Saturday and was thinking of hitting up CBC afterward. Has anyone done this on a staurday evening after a CBJ game, is it a nightmare?

^ the restaurant isn't within comfortable walking distance from the arena (30 min). Get there by 5 or 530 to beat normal dinner rush. Per beermenus, all they have on tap from CBC is the IPA. JuJu is on though.

Why CBC afterwards? I am thinking you could find a better post game spot.

Don't go to that shit hole. It's not affiliated with Columbus Brewing, just has their name (complicated I know). Go to a better place that actually has something to do with the CBus beer scene. May I suggest Wolf's Ridge?

Yeah the plan is to drive, hoping to beat any big rush. And honestly Im not a big IPA fan, but they seem to heave plenty of other good beers there.

Mainly we are looking for a place that has a good selection of beers, and their current menu looks pretty good. Got any better suggestions?

Im not going for the name, I am looking at it because the beer and food looks good. Im not a giant IPA fan so Wolfs Ridge does not really hold a lot of interest for me in the beer area. any other suggestions?

Thanks @djtothemoney for the heads up on the Listermann release. I wasn't aware that was happening. I had the Maple Bourbon Chickow at Jungle Jim's Barrel Aged Beer Bash. IMO, it was "Best of Show" and that's saying a lot considering all the other great beers I had that night. It's a beer that's actually worth a $20 bomber.

Was already planning on going to Christian Moerlein for their release. The last 2 anniversary beers were both really good and I'd expect the same for this one; brandy barrel Quad sounds delicious! I went last year and had a great time. Get there early! Last year there were more people in line than bottles available. Here's the tap list by the way:
    – Eleven/162 Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wee Heavy (Now fully 1-year-old!)
    – Twelve/163 Brandy Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad
    – “Jess” Belgian Quad (9.5% ABV base Quad for Twelve/163)
    – Chocolate Vanilla Emancipator
    – Purity Pils
    – Third Wave IPA
    – Little Jack Plum Wheat Ale
    – Big Piney Northwest IPA
    – Hudepohl Pure Lager
    – & more to come!
Try Plum Wheat Ale, it's really good! And, by the way, the Listermann release is at 10am and the Moerlein release is at 4pm, so there wouldn't be a problem doing both. I may try that myself.

Wolf's Ridge does SOOOO much more than IPAs. Matter of fact, I wouldn't even say that I go to them for their hoppy stuff. Although, I think they do really well with them. Where they stand out is that they do so many styles and nail them way more than they don't. I've never had the food, so I can't compare. Their stuff is a little on the fancy side for a meat, cheese, and bread guy like myself (it's how I keep my figure!). I do love some of the food at CBC, but as others can attest, the beer selection is "meh" because of the non-affiliation with the brewery. That said, I personally would go to CBC for the burger I love and some Hop Juju...THEN go to Wolf's Ridge and have some great beers.

Having not been there I can't speak from experience, but comparing their menus online CBC seems to have a much larger selection of beers than Wolfs Ridge does, am I missing information?

Well, Seventh Son is on 4th street(usually has a food truck). Barley's is on High Street (excellent food too)

I'm not seeing a live tap list for Wolf's Ridge. I didn't know they keep one. The CBC taplist is actually pretty solid right now in my mind. Definitely go there. But I think you're doing a major disservice to yourself to not go to Wolf's Ridge. I think they are the best CBus brewery.

What list are you looking at online for wolfs ridge. To my knowledge, they don't keep a tap list on their site, but they do usually have around 20ish of their own beers on tap and certainly not a hop centric list. It's actually one of the best tap lists since its usually pretty balanced by different styles.

CBC on the other hand has about 10 beers on draft, under two categories: "hop heads" and "chug a lug", which I'm
To believe are lighter, Easier drinking options.

Their food is alright, but there's better. However, they are nothing like an actual brewery and do a terrible job at riding the coat tails of the CBC name. They hardly ever jave more than a couplE CBC beers on at once.

I was using http://www.wolfsridgebrewing.com/menu/ and checking drinks, I will be around and will check wolfs ridge out sometime I am sure, but This list looks a bit to restrictive to convince some of my friends to go there.

I believe that is just listing their regulars. Like @tells mentioned, they usually have about 20+ offerings of their own on.

I believe that might be the list for their bar inside the restaurant. @Spider889 ?

The tap room is actually behind the restaurant in the same building (entrance marked in the alley). Nicest taproom in the city by far and best selection of house beers too.
