New to Ohio (2017)

Hey folk. Wondering if that bodhi stuff from columbus is around anywhere in the Cleveland area. Visiting Saturday and was hoping to try a draft or bottle. Thanks.

 

Saw some at the University Heights Heinen's so it looks like it's around. Not sure of the bottle date though, but it's usually pretty fresh.

 

Interestingly enough, I see Bodhi more at my local Giant Eagle than I do at the bottle shop.

 

Pretty much the same here. Kroger always has it and sometimes even 2 days fresh. My local shop . . . Occasionally and usually bottled two weeks ago. Not bad just odd

 

I had been to that warehaus bev on mayfield before. So i figured i'd hit it agin. Scored a 4pk of the bodhi. Eager to taste. Also owed my lady a six pack from a bet- found a unibroue mixed 6 for $9.99
Pretty awesome compared to the cheapest price of $15.99 in PA...

 

It was on tap at Fat Heads last year, so I'd guess they'll get it again. Not sure about bottles though.

 

Dang. This bodhi stuff is great. Best IPA i've had in a long time. Very happy I got to try some. Feeling #blessed.

 

Grab some 'White Rajah' too while you're in the area. Not sure if you had that (or maybe its available) but that's another dan fav local IPA.

 

Will benext on the list. Just added to my wants. I only had an hr of free time after a seminar yesterday before leaving. Sill be back in thenext month or two though. Thanks for the rec.

 

I heard Crooked Stave will start showing up around Ohio this week. If you haven't had any of their stuff, they have some very tasty sours.

Really? That's awesome! Their beer is very good, but it's also expensive as hell.

Pretty damned close. Maybe we see them as expensive due to our being blinded to Jackie O's making such killer beer that we don't care about their price

Madtree Brewing opens their new brewery today! I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about here; I suppose us Cincinnatians are a relatively humble bunch.

Anyway, Madtree 2.0 opens to the public today about a mile from their old location. The new brewery will give them the ability to become the largest craft brewer in the State of Ohio. This much needed expansion will also alleviate the "dicks to asses" crowds you'd often find at the old taproom. Catch-a-Fire Pizza is also making the move to the new location, thankfully, as it's some of the best pies the city has to offer, IMO.

They are throwing a Grand Opening bash this Saturday which also doubles as their annual "Winter Bonanza" anniversary party. The tap list is off the hook! Guest taps include brewers:
