New to Ohio (2017)

The answer is yes. Evil Twin can do no wrong with a stout IMO. I've only had Mexican Biscotti once but I really liked it and I generally don't enjoy spiced stouts. Oro and Sunday Mole are the other two I've liked.

 

I know @miketd doesn't want to hear any hype about a hazy beer (fwiw, they wear thin on me too outside of Trillium), but don't pass on Platform's Amarillo Fog. It has a more raw fruit flavor (not a super sweet juice bomb) with a solid amount of piney bitterness. The yeast bite is one the back end amd not as pronounced as a Hoof beer to me. And speaking of platform, the heinens by me got the not so ugli, tasted fine to me, the hell with how it looked, easily worth the $11 for a full growler.

That one actually sounded good, despite the pandering to neckbeards and beer nerds. Do you know if they plan to can this one?

LOL. I used to work at a racquet club out there while in college. Good Lord was I ever out of my element.

As I mentioned earlier, one of my local shops is doing their release this Friday, so I'd imagine that they're not the only place doing it at the end of the week.

 

Bottling another batch of Columbus Brewing Creeper today (Mon 3/27). I think it's much better than the first batch, even. Not as hot. More pronounced fruitiness. I really like it. Dangerous.

I THINK the distributors worked out the kinks and can start delivering to accounts more quickly this time (looking at you NE OH). Hopefully both Central and NE Ohio will see this starting tomorrow.

 

Was very pleasantly surprised to see my friend get him some Creeper bottles about a month or so ago, and loving that there's yet more coming. Kudos!

Yo @tcorder219 at the 2016 Creeper release event I remember seeing a few barrels laying around the joint. Any news on the contents of those barrels and when we might be seeing it?

fwiw, after giving mine 2 weeks in the bottles, the last batch of Creeper ended up being fantastic, vs the first "super fresh" bottle I had. I'll definitely give this batch a shot as well if it's somehow even better.
