It was bottled and released yesterday.

It is really good as always this year. I thought it was a tad sweeter and fruity...less dank than previous years. But it was hyper fresh, we'll see how it tastes in a week or two when it settles down.

    That wet hopped IBUsive though!

Is anyone aware of Cleveland Craft Beer Week? My girlfriend and I just moved here and she sent me this link today. Chicago's Craft Beer Week is a blast, but I thought I'd check in here and see if anyone knows if any of these events are worth it.

    Cheers!

It's a fun week, but (IMO) lots of the ticketed events are tired. I wish they would throw one every month over the course of the year instead of all in the same week. But, as a newcomer to Cleveland, they're all new to you. I recommend Culture Yourself if you like beer & cheese. Rare doesn't fit my definition of a "once in a lifetime" event but there will be some good beers there.

IMO, the best events are the non-ticketed ones. But I get more excited about a fresh keg of Sierra Nevada Celebration than I do Bells Black Note these days (for example), so I won't bore all of you with my picks.

I thought wet hopped IBUsive was muddled in flavor, I like the original a lot better. Hopstalker was excellent on tap last night and so were the bottles.

There's a lot of fun to be had! Bodhi Night at Deagan's in Lakewood is always a blast, as are several events at Buckeye Beer Engine in Lakewood and Lizardville/Winking Lizard always has a ton of cool/fun events too. Honestly, it's probably too much stuff crammed into a week (9 days), but there are quite a few worth attending especially if it's your first!

Also to note, we're having a tasting/tap takeover with Masthead and North High that week that should be a lot of fun and provide some exclusive/unique beers from both companies. Cheers man!

Thanks, I don't get the newsletter. Hopefully it will hit Toledo soon, otherwise I am making a trip to Cleveland in 2 weeks.

I'm not sure if you can call 3 beers a Barrel aged Bonanza, even a little bonanza - but it is certainly cool, and I wish that I was there.

Someone tell me whether this is a good deal or not so I can make fun of Hoppin Frog but not look like an idiot.

Meh. Not hateful, not great. Better than the price of their Shandy.

It’s about even with their 22oz bombers. They are $14.99. Where two 12oz bottles are $15.98.

Well, that's one hell of a good deal. If there's one thing Hoppin Frog offers, it's amazing deals.

Do any of you Cbus advocates know if any stores typically receive CBC stuff the day after bottling? In town today and wondered if I can run down any Yakima

It looks like BA Doris will distro; does anyone know where it might show up in the Lakewood area?

Can't tell if serious. Assuming you are, BA DORIS is an easy score. Any better beer store or even grocery store should be able to get you some.

Ah ok, I've only lived here less than a month, so I'm unaware of pretty much everything haha.. I'm used to Chicago and having to chase beers before they disappear.
