Yeah all of Three Floyd’s went up in price. Cores up from 12.99 to 13.99 and Lazer Snake and ZD from 12.99 to 14.99. Where most are trying to go DOWN to compete they choose to go up. Wonder how it pans out...

Collision bend is really nice. I need to go back again but my initial impression when it comes to the beer is not good I think I found one out of five ok.

Btw I'm not sure what best brewpub means even. I'm happy they won honestly. Big best brew pub really can mean anything.

Heinens on Green Road, and I assume elsewhere, has KBS in the back waiting to be brought out on Monday.

Hijack time: I have a friend in Sandusky asking if I want beer. Is Hoof or Jackie O's or Masthead available there?

EDIT: any under the radar Sandusky gem recommendations would be appreciated too.

Hoof and Masthead aren't, Jackie O's cans and basic stouts are probably there though. May be able to find a barrel aged Oil or Dark App somewhere also. Don't know of any Sandusky gems though, as that's not my side of town.

About time, I think if Willoughby played their cards right, they could be a legit player with good distribution. Maybe start out with Hazy Days and Peanut Butter Cup as regulars. Specialty releases of Nut smasher (and variants) from time to time. Plus they make killer Kolsch’s and a decent Creme Brûlée stout. Not to mention they recently redid most of their hoppy beer recipes. I hope to see them do well.

They are the one CLE brewery that I think actually aces a kolsch. Saucy's has nothing on it and no one else really brews one. Doesn't seem like they're going to distribute cans/bottles of PBCP, but more draft is nice.

No pre-release fanfare and it's already running low at the MD in the Falls. They hid it in the corner by the bombers too.

Woooow good to know. Gotta go see if my local place has it yet and snag a sixer. One of the few beers I'll actually buy a 4/6-pack of. Even chose to pay about $10 for a bottle of it at Beerhead last year!

    Kaiserhof

    Moonshadow

    Hazy Days

    Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter

Would be a cool lil base lineup if they ever do. I tend to think their Belgian's fly under the radar as well.

Centennial Vice was on tap yesterday at Small City Taphouse, and growler fills are most likely available. That’s a place he should go anyway.

Any thoughts on Jackie o we will cook for you? I liked it s lot. Not the best ever competed to to others but I liked it a lot . Super easy to drink. I would compare it to the last epic neipa release that was a month or so ago. Not the newest one but It's along the lines of that, except a touch better

Holy shit...Collision Bend is my new favorite pet peeve.

$10 to park for the privilege of not getting a beer without a hassle?

Walk in, and oh god....okay...there's a hostess stand with 4 damn hostesses, fuckin great...

    "Do you have a reservation?"
    Fuck you say?
    "It'll be an hour wait."
Nah...seriously, THE FUCK YOU SAY?! This is a "brewery"?!?!?!?

Our group of 4 just walked up to the bar, which has about a foot of space between you and the people trying to have a quiet, calm, scaled up dinner with slow jazz playing softly in the background to keep the calm ambiance...lmfao! This place is a joke.

Oh and watching group after group walk up to what seems like the entrance only to walk back to the unlabeled entrance like this is some kind of apartment or speakeasy--just like we did--good lord, what a bright idea.

They're going to have to kill this "brewery" shtick sooner than later because this is a restaurant through and through, and not even a casual one. It feels like it's for well to do families to come and bring their quiet kids and pretend like they're "cool" parents who like beer, and breweries, while not having any sort of experience that might resemble an actual brewery or bar experience whatsoever.

    In a word, stuffy.

If the beer was great, this all might be forgivable. Unfortunately, there were 4 different full pours between us, and none were finished. 3 of our beers tasted damn near identically--the Grisette, Saison, and Kolsch were all variations on intensity of banana and clove, totally outside of style, while the Pale Ale had no aroma, but did feature the wonderful, mild flavor of Melba toast.

We took it upon ourselves to walk around like schmucks and try to pretend like this was a brewery, interrupting people's fine dinners by the water before leaving and getting a real beer down the street.

It's not usually my thing to tear down breweries, but I think they'll be fine without us beer geeks. Hell, they already won best brewpub without us! Being a part of the Bruell's collection, I'm sure in one way or another they'll live on in whatever form they wish to. The place was befuddlingly packed. Whatever.

Really cool space, absolutely awesome location...really fucked up operation.

Before I get to what I wanted to comment about, the appeal of Collision Bend must be location based on the feedback I've gotten from the small number of people who've been there.

Is it my imagination or has KBS been available sporadically through the year at certain locations? It seems like I've seen it off and on at Heinens with no fanfare to the point that when I was told last week that they'd bring it out tomorrow I thought "so what" until I found out that this was the annual release time. I know I saw CBS at the University Heights Whole Foods earlier this year; a guy sitting by the taps had a bottle that he said they had stocked in the back and would bring out on request. I'm already cellaring enough but thought it was a strange way to do things and was wondering if Founders moves stuff quietly from low demand to higher demand areas.
