An aside: Does anyone know when we will see Ballast Point cans? I'm getting jealous of these Chicagoland people posting pictures.

I've just been able to experience Deschutes in the form of Black Butte XXIV I acquired via a trade. It was amazing and am so excited to see more from them. I've only heard great things about all of their beers.

Damn.. $13- and I thought Dreadnaught was expensive at $8 when it was in Ohio 6 years ago...

    SHOULD be 10.99...at state min.

Yeah it is really expensive IMO. I taste each three floyds i can get and very rarely go back. Just had Behemoth last night and would pay the freight on that again, but not apocalypse or Dreadnaught. Not when I can get Ruination for 6.50 or Hop Stoopid at 5 a bomber. Hell, even a fantastic DIPA like Amarillo Brillo is only 10 a 4pk, equating to less than 5 a bomber. I will take that ANY day.

Why "should" it be state minimum at $10.99? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it up to the store if they want to set their prices higher?

Can't say I blame them. Palmer's is a great store with heavy foot traffic. They know they will have no problem selling them in a day or 2 at that price. And the first 2 chauches that see it probably won't buy it all. I'd probably grab a bottle of the Dreadnaught at that price, primarily because it seems like I see it about once a year. Definitely steep, but probably worth it still. I easily put it above Hopslam, maybe Bodhi.

It seems like some beers reach a price-to-quality "apex", relative to what else is out there for a certain price. There's nothing tooo special about Dreadnaught for me to warrant spending $13 ($0.59/oz), versus really good $10 4pks ($0.21/oz), or really good $12 6pks ($0.17/oz). The scarcity doesn't make it taste better.

And then there's HF Hop Dam, lol...Ohio brewery and still overpriced as hell (imo).

Please shout out if you come across the new Beer Camp packs. SN mentioned they shipped sometime last week, so we ought to see them this week or the next.

Also, anyone have thoughts or info on whether we might see Tumbler or Celebration in cans this year?

Someone said in the SN Beer Camp thread in the "Beer Releases" section that they spotted some in the Cincy area. Someone else from OH said they grabbed some too, but I haven't seen any in the Cleveland area yet..

Good you spend the extra $$ on an overpriced and IMO overrated DIPA...just because it says 3Floyds and has a cool label doesn't mean you need to pay $13 for a bomber of unicorn tears. I will spend my money in other places.

I didn't see any discussion yet in this thread, but I've spotted Full Pint product at a few places in the Canton area within the past month or two.

I drank a bottle of TRI-PA.. holy hell, that was a boozy, hop mash-up!

I've seen a few Full Pint beers recently, too. I got the Chinookie IPA and thought it was pretty bad. I wanted to try the TRIPA, but it was like $3.xx something for a single and the ratings didn't look too great so I passed.

Rye Rebellion is my favorite one from them. The rest are just middle of the road.

I'll keep an eye out for that one. Their amber ale is my favorite as of now..

Bummer, but not really surprising - guess I'll keep an eye out when I visit Indianapolis in September for Horrorhound Weekend!
