Ive seen this done in other places and wondering if its done around here. Or is all trading around here just 1 to 1?
I'm also new to trading, I've only made two, but both of them were fairly large. To me trading one for one kind of seems like a waste of everyone's time. Both of my trades each of us wwere looking for one specific type of beer but we both threw in random locals to make it more worth our while and make it more interesting. That's just my opinion, there may be some other people on here that like the one for one trading. As long as the trade ends up about the same $4$, then all is good.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. The ones I had heard before had boxes that were about $50 and even included glassware/swag if you had access to it
I really enjoy the random boxes where both sides give some general wants and pick a price point. I'm in a dead zone for nice releases so it's quite the effort to get anything that's worth trading 1-1. I usually do around 40 bucks since that makes the shipping worth it. It's fun to make the box and it's fun to get surprises.
I do the 1:1 thing all the time. However we do try to expand and if we can't, I try to communicate that I will send either 1-2 very solid extras, or 5-6 extras that are standard but out of distro for them. I wish there was a local for local trade thread for this very reason. I'd love to put together $40-50 worth of my local stuff for others local stuff. Coasters, stickers, glassware, etc are always cool to send out and get back too.
