anyone been out to the new location? Was wondering if they are going to have more on draft than the brewpub. Hoping to make it out there in the next week or so.
I have not been there yet, but I do recall seeing somewhere that there will be a lot more taps than the original location. They also plan on distributing more. It has six time the brewing capacity of the old location. Plan on going soon.
Ditto. Looks like a really cool spot in an up-and-coming part of Raleigh. Hope to get over their soon. Like Lynnwood, this should really help put them on the NC map. I read they have 13 taps, but I can't imagine they're all house beers yet.
Haven't been yet, but I saw somewhere that they had a couple different BA Heavyweight variants on last night.
Well, time for the triple post. Place is really cool. Taproom is not as big as I would've maybe thought it would've been, but it's got a great feel. 12 beers on tap tonight with everything offered in a counter-fill growler except for the Basil Hayden BA Heavyweight. That one was as smooth as silk and the Double Death Spiral was on point as well. Hell the Milky Way even tasted better than I've ever thought it tasted before. My first impressions were that they've got this stuff dialed in at a cool new location. Will be back soon.
Yeah we couldn't find hard hours anywhere yet either. We asked at the taproom tonight and don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure they said weekdays 3 pm - midnight, Saturday like 3pm - 2am, Sunday 12 noon - something can't remember.
Per their Facebook page... Mon-Thu: 3:00 pm - 12:00 am Fri: 3:00 pm - 2:00 am Sat: 12:00 pm - 2:00 am Sun: 12:00 pm - 12:00 am https://www.facebook.com/trophymaywood/info/?tab=page_info&view
Knob Creek Heavyweight on now replacing the Basil Hayden one. Both are fantastic, but pretty different. KC one is a little sweeter and more bourbon-vanilla-y versus the smoothness of the BH one. Both tasting so great though. A new IPA called G'Day is on as well that's very nice. I LOVE the new Trophy spot.
Appreciate the kind words! We've got the hours and addresses up here: http://trophybrewing.com We'll get a food truck calendar up soon, but for now will be posting on Facebook. We're excited to have all 12 taps full and we'll break in the new cask engine sometime soon as well. We're getting some bigger batches of things like Heavyweight going so we can possibly bottle some/offer growlers and we now have room to get some bigger sour projects going too. Keg distribution is starting, but very slowly. Cheers! Woody
