    I came across this article from www.belgiansmaak.com who linked to the story here.

    Sounds delicious and I'd love to try some.

    I've seen a few things about this beer and am really curious to get some feedback from someone who is really familiar with the others. It seems like a bit of a departure from the others, but it's tough to tell if it's a complete departure (Engelszell) or just a local spin (Spencer).

    Oddly enough, this got me looking into Spencer's offerings and while their original ale is a local spin, they offer a quad. I'd like to try that someday since it's my favorite style.

    But I am surprised by how brown the Tynt Meadow is. I expected it to be more blonde.

    I've got one of these so I'll have to report back once I've got round to trying it.

    From what I've read it's supposed to be an English ale, and not an imitation Belgian brew....

    Managed to grab 12 bottles of the first batch. It's honestly one of the best beers I've had. English in style but unusual, like a stout crossed with a strong ale. I'm surprised by its measly average rating of 4.17. I'd be happy to trade a bottle or two.

    Head of Steam pubs have started selling them. They also have the bespoke glasses that the monastery issue with the bottles.

    I am thinking of trying to age some. I like it and even the better half likes it so I will have to hide them carefully. She doesn't know where the 15 bottles of Fullers vintage are so It shouldn't be too difficult.

    I tried Tynt Meadow for the first time recently; posted my review on 3rd May with text, tasting notes, purchase place and so on. I rated it 4.26/5 concluding 'I find it amazing that a beer like this exists in the UK, of it's style+quality, and yet I've only just discovered it. This is certainly one that I will buy again.'...which is a sincere 2-thumbs up from me. Out of my current 495 reviews it currently ranks 18th.

    ps. I've just noticed TheKeyMaker's and F8met's posts above mine. I've just bought 6 bottles of Green King Vintage ale too, a lovely beer (bought from a larger Waitrose). I'm thinking of doing a side-by-side taste test vs Fuller's 1845 (from my local mini-Waitrose, not to be found in the big local one, curiously enough). The 1845 is currently on offer (6 more 4 IIRC) a snip at £1.50/pint; I've accumulated a stash of 24pints to date. The Vintage is also currently on offer, reduced from £2.50 > £2 a pint, I've 6 of those and counting... there's a point my wife starts asking questions... ;

    No idea, but I live near the brewery and might be interested in a trade.
