Not sure what the desktop site looks like as all my browsing on here is from my phone but the scale seems way off. For example when you bring up the sites homepage all I see is beeradvocate in huge letters on top, the drop down menu and the "quick" navigation menu an ad and part of a picture for the first article. All that makes for a lot more clicking and swiping down to find what you want. Just personally preferred having more on the screen than the new more app-style layout.

We don't maintain a list, but you can refer to this forum for threads on the topic.

Perhaps a infrequent situation, but I just noticed that in a private conversation with a longer list of participants and a long string of messages already present, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to see the last few participants. It would be a nice feature if scrolling while hovering over the column on the right would make the right column scroll independently of the main/messages column.

Then again, this isn't an area of expertise for me by any stretch. I don't know if that's an easy change or would require massive reworking of code. If the latter, feel free to ignore...

I would second that. The 3 main things I used it for were 1. Looking up a beer while at a store 2. Rating a beer while out at a bar, 3. Using the nearby places function when in a new town.

I can only do 2 out of 3 using the mobile version of the website.

Searching by individual town/city names is clunky to find a place.

Especially when one does not know the names of all the little towns nearby (i.e., when traveling or on vacation).

This is almost entirely what I used the BA App for. Hoping for this feature to come back too.

Yes. @Mike and I have already discussed this. Mapping functionality will be part of BA 4.0. @jmdrpi @Javier2000

    Hey!!

FYI... You still have as one of your rotating ads at the top of the page one recommending people to download the BA app from iTunes or Google Play....

    Prosit!

This was removed, but may take a bit to clear from the server's cache.

In the category of minor annoyances...

Using a PC... If you have new alerts, and you hover the mouse pointer over the flag, the red number of new alerts disappears, shifting the alerts flag icon to the right out from under your mouse pointer, leaving your mouse pointer hovering over the "Conversations" envelope icon, so the alerts list disappears and the conversation list appears.

I'd also would like to see back the pics in the list of beers rated and beer gots, as well as the groupings by brewery of both of those list. They were also a great way to pass time for me and an easy way to see if one of the beers I had rated or that I had in my gots needed a pic to be uploaded.

    Thanks.
    José Antonio.

Hey Todd, love the new site design, very clean and user friendly. I have a question regarding pictures. On sports forums I visit, I've noticed that when people post pictures, there's a preview of the picture showing. Not a thumbnail, it's actually big enough, but it allows larger pictures to fit all within the computer screen. You can then click on it to make it larger, similar to how it was on here before. Any chance that feature will be back?

    Cheers!

New site is great imho. Did the points/categories (savant etc.) disappear?

Really digging the new layout. The mobile site rocks too. It's come a long long way since 2001 when I joined. Congrats!
