Haven't used any liquid yeast in the last ~6 months. Anyone use these yet? The WLP007 looked like a paste to me and I bought it from a LHBS I don't usually buy from. Reassure me :grimacing:

I guess they weren't kidding when they said the new package and process would save water.

5 More years and they'll incorporate a nutrient pouch for a viability check.

I used one the last time I used liquid yeast... I just squeezed it out like toothpaste into my starter. Yeast was fine, no issues at all!

Yes, I made a starter with one and posted about it recently in another thread. Very toothpastey, a little troublesome.

I used one recently on a Irish Red, WLP004. Squeezed directly into wort with no issues. Was a little slow on the start but finished nicely.

Hopefully it was only a low gravity beer, otherwise a starter may have been in order. Good luck.

1.051og dropped to 1.012 no issues If it was bigger that .06 I would have ran a starter. Not a huge fan of the white labs stuff, would rather use wyeast but works all the same!!
