I resolve to get my beer collection down to one fridge and return fridge #2 to its intended purpose: fermentation and conditioning for my homebrews. Oh, and to keep beer out of fridge #3 (the upstairs, food fridge).

    1. Visit the local WY/CO breweries before moving out of the area.
    2. If I move to Vermont: Enjoy as much Lawson's Finest, Hill Farmstead, Maine Beer Company and Heady Topper as possible.
    3. If I move to Portland, Oregon: enjoy the plethora of breweries in the city.
    4. Start trading beer.

more wood aging with my homebrews and way more double IPAs. Also, if I sign off on a new job mid next year after passing the bar then I will be ok with the amount of spending that is currently going on.

I also want to become a BJCP judge and to wine more medals.

This is a continuing resolution for me; I don't need every new special release beer that Ive never tried before* and I've made it a point to buy singles instead of 6ers whenever I can if something interests me.

*exception is anything that is bottled from Short's.

Donate plasma so I can have even more beers without going broke! Also, it will be easier to get drunk right after donation. Double win!

Actually go out to a beer bar on a Friday or Saturday night. Maybe make some new friends. Failing that (because I work like 48 weekends out of the year) it'd be nice to just go to a brewery for once, maybe for a special release. Tried 800 new beers in the past three years and still never been to one. Again, the weekend thing.

    1. Revisit the classics! So many accessible, well priced beers that have been around for years. They're great. See what I think about them after having had them a while ago.
    2. Slow down a bit and get back to working out more. After getting in deep this year and having reviewed almost 650 beers, I think I can cut back a little bit.
    3. Do more experiments. After drinking just beers mostly by themselves, there are really cool things to do.
Blind tastings. French pressing beers. Mixing beers. Food pairings.

    Drink down my collection.
Buy less beers, concentrate on sticking with tried and true classics with the occasional new release thrown in.
Too many new releases daily to be able to keep up.

    1. Drink down cellar = spend less
    2. More road trips to breweries, but not for early lineups and bottle releases (unless ticketed)
    3. No trading unless its IP (after the ones that are already arranged). Its just not cost effective.
    4. Host a few tastings/shares.
    5. When the cellar is near empty, start homebrewing.
