Perform a cursory glance on at least the homepage before I start a thread that was literally started early the same day

    Visit new breweries.
    Repeat.

Open growler fill and bottle shop back in my hometown. A few seats for pint-drinkers too. Underfunded, over my head. What could possibly go wrong?

Like many others....drink a bit less, and exercise more

    Do more all grain homebrewing

Get back in the beer biz....miss it after working for 2 breweries over the past 3-4 years (free beer is a blessing!)

    Happy New Beer year!

Crank up the homebrew. I have made several restaurants obsolete by learning to cook very well, and would like to make most of my daily drinkers obsolete from a consumer standpoint. I think that starting with IPA's, work my way up to a hefe and kristal and then finally move into lagering so I can knock out a decent pilsner and Vienna would be my 2015 goal.

Besides that, my beer habit "support" activities have to get stepped up. More dedication to gym (currently 3 times a week, need to go 5 times); eat a LOT better (I've already purchased a vegetarian cookbook for through the week eating - can't eat brisket 24/7....) and finally, READ a SHIT TON of beer literature.

Last but not least, I want to become more active in trading. We've got a lot going on here in RVA from some great breweries and I'd like to be part of getting their word out.

One more I'll add is revisiting some beers I tried years ago and didn't care for, most likely due to lack of having a developed palate. Things like Duvel, Gülden Draak, and the like. I subconsciously avoid them but I know, now, that I would be able to appreciate and enjoy them far better than when I was 21 and Sam Adams Cherry Wheat was the top of the food chain to me at the time.

That and I want to break into sour/wild ales and Gose-style beers as well.

    1. Less "ticking".
    2. Buy more personal favorites.
    3. Work the cellar count down. Spare room looks like a small bottle shop.

Spend less money on beer. Second kid is on the way (first son!). Double daycare is gonna kick my ass.

In 2014 I focused on tasting new (to me) American craft beers. Instead of chasing US whales, in 2015 I intend to spend more time tasting new (to me) beers from Europe. While most of my 2014 tasting was US focused, every time I picked up a beer from Europe I was floored. I won't ignore US brews (have a trip to Montreal/Maine/Vermont and also Russian River Valley CA in the works), but I really want to dip into the better brews from Europe. Doing my research on BA now, making my lists. What about you?

To keep with what I started in 2014, to try and get my hands on new beers, thru trades, online purchases and trips to different states

Pick a beer style or two (maximum) and going super deep... learning the basics of the style, exploring different brewery samples to learn the subtleties, and trading (hopefully travelling) to taste the world class benchmarks. I've narrowed the list to American Pale Ales and Dopplebocks.

    1. Brew my first batch if I can get a second of free time
    2. Land a few bottles of a whale that I can give away literally free of charge to another BA
    3. Get absolutely silly at the EBF and meet all these brewers
