My wife is making a trip to Manhattan next week and I need suggestions for beers that I wouldn't find in Texas. Beer store suggestions would be helpful as well. Thanks.
Where is she staying? Is she willing to trek around the city to buy beer? Any specific styles you're looking for? Id take a look at seekabrew.com to figure out what breweries distribute here, but not to Texas. The best (and pretty easy) beer run would be for her to go to the shops in the east village and lower east side. Relatively close to each other are Top Hops, New Beer (which has a bad reputation on here but often has some nice gems), Whole Foods Bowery Beer, and Good Beer.
