I have a friend going to Hannibal, NY this week. I'm always looking for ways to get beers I don't have access to here in Michigan. Just tried Sixpoint-hi res and loved it as well as resin and 3beans. Any recommendations of things I should have him scoop up? I wondered if any Hill Farmstead or Heady is available in New York? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, my favorites are anything hoppy, porters, and stouts. Not a big Belgian fan. Thanks again
It's almost impossible to find Hill Farmstead or Heady in NY. Flower Power. Southern Tier beers. Jai Alai (don't know if you get that).
Westbrook, Maine Beer co, & Troegs stuff should be around as well and not distro'd to Michigan. Hope that helps.
Deinitely helps, thanks guys. Never heard of captain Lawrence but it looks like they definitely have some good beers.
Grab some middle ages a very solid English style brewery that is in cuse, which is the closest major city to Hannibal. Cs farm market in oswego should have most of the aforementioned beers except for cigarcity, which is not upstate yet? BTW Hannibal is pretty rural
I'd recommend visiting the Galeville Byrne Dairy in Liverpool for sure. Beyond that, I'm sure other locals can make recommendations. You'll be driving for awhile, the most exciting thing in Hannibal might be the IGA.
Also look for AleSmith, Allagash, Ballast Point, Crooked Stave, Firestone Walker, Great Divide, Green Flash, Hoppin' Frog, Nebraska, Perennial, Pretty Things, Stillwater, and Weyerbacher. Last I checked, none of those were available in Michigan.
Had to Google Map Hannibal, holy christ that is waaay out there. I'd be surprised if the OP is going to find too much.
