I think I'll take a chance on joining the next round.. hesitant because of my non ipa / non grapefruit taste buds I don't feel comfortable sending beer I haven't tried, or didn't like (every ipa I've tried ).. so if someone wants the hops, I'll need a little help on recommendations, aside from say Fat Heads and Brew Gentlemen Doesn't matter to me on timing, now, mid summer, or later.
would love to join.. have ratings on TbeerExchang but not on here yet, from NJ local to Carton/Kane.. how do i sign up?
Welcome @mumbles44 ! Keep your eye on the feed, feel free to go back and browse and learn the members and how things have gone in the past. If you don't have the trades on BA (>5 I think) someone will need to step up to sponsor you which shouldn't be an issue it sounds like. We'll reach out on that. This thread is setup to encourage new people to jump into the BIF realm so we're here to help! Stay tuned, it's looking like we're leaning toward starting up Round 4 in late June.
i've been rather quiet, but i've been meaning to put up a 'LIF within a BIF' for sometime now... so here goes... I've had zero beer (save for one random pint while out on dinner w/ the lady) for the past 2weeks in preps for Sunday, 5/15/16 = running 26.2mi at the Cleveland Marathon. Excited, but also looking forward to finish and enjoy some good celebratory brew(s) out there (GLBC is even hosting the finish-area), or once i return. Anyways, keepin up with all the good beer floating around, i thought i'd spread some goods from my area with a little box from the DC/MD/NoVA area. I'll lookin to definitely throw in some Aslin IPA crowler (depending on what is available as they are 30min drive from me -- anyone else have any interest in their stuff), and likely Ocelot, Hardywood, or other locals that don't see the light of distro outside of VA (or DC or MD)..that i can put together when i return from travel. Closest to guess wins the LIF: On Sunday, what will be my finishing time (chip time) for the Cleveland Marathon (HH:MM:SS)? Tiebreaker: how many miles have i run throughout my training starting from 1/1/16 thru the end of 5/14/16 This will close 11:59p (cleveland time), saturday night 5/14/16. cheers! maybe this could get some good momentum/rapport going as we slide into the next round, too.. ...oh yea.. and i'm "IN" for next round =)
Nice!! I have a buddy training right now for some upcoming marathons here locally and I'll tell you, its no joke!! Good luck with the race. I'll go with 4 hours and 36 min with 42 seconds. Tiebreaker: You have ran 735 miles.
Good luck! Will forward if I win. I will go with 4 hours 4 minutes and 4 seconds. And 222 miles for training.
I'm definitely interested in some Aslin Crowlers! LMK where the after party is! I'll go with 4:44:44,and 666 miles Good luck and thanks for the chance!
Here's the winner for my LIF. @Elkevjoe. Everything is correct here but # 3. (first three beers I traded for were Abyss, Parabola, Lindley Park) For # 4, I'm going to drink VR and Fou Foune so either of those would of been right. I already have your shipping info/ Box will go out shortly.
Will do! i'll let you know where we'll be at post-race. i've already set aside some brews that i'm bringin up to crack at the finish hehe
Okay the last marathon I ran was 3 years ago I was 58 at the time and as much as I wanted to be under 5 hours it didn't happen that day. My time was 5:05 minutes so will go with that as my guess. And for the tie breaker I'll go with 505 miles. Hope you can do better than this old man did!
Thanks so much!Make sure you change your return address Maybe we should put Asheville in the running for Newbie Bottle Share 1.0? Watch out for potholes
Good luck! Hope the weather is good and wind is at your back. I'll guess a finish time of 04:11:33 and you ran 676 miles in training.
thank you @Eziel would love for someone to sponsor me and help me out. i can send over my user on the exchange to verify.. after reading this looks like a blast and happy to be a part of this!!
