Another new Bluejacket tick...this time a tasty bourbon and rye barrel aged stout with chocolate, coconut and vanilla. Thanks Con!

I’m a little behind on posting but I’ll try to catch up today.

Here’s Day 2 - Beer 2A from @Bstagnone This one smells like my kind of IPA. I mostly get Mango, Citrus, and Dank. I was thinking an IPA featuring Mosaic and a damn good one at that and I was right. Hill Farmstead can do no wrong!
On to beer 2B from @Bstagnone. Aroma is pretty muted compared to the first beer. Definitely more alcohol and more of a blend of hops going on as I get a blend of tropical fruits (passionfruit, Mango, Peach, Orange). I liked the Hill Farmstead a little better but this is pretty damn tasty as well. The reveal was Tree House Haze. I’m glad I could try this again. It has been a while. Thanks for the great day 2.

Day 3 from @Bstagnone. This one tastes like a smooth, Roasty Imperial milk stout with lots of coffee. Maybe not a super big one. Like 8% ABV or so. Whatever it is it’s damn tasty!
Boom! Not too far off. Earl is 7.2% ABV. New tick and a want for sure! Light to medium in body but super creamy and perfect roast and coffee. Thanks!

I've been slacking on posting my blind #vbs days here...

Day 2 from @Griff57 brought a killer 16oz canned stout, poured thick with a nice amount of cinnamon on the nose. First sip was absolutely amazing, it had it all; great coffee, thick chocolate, some sort of nut, and a decent amount of cinnamon. MAYBE a hint of vanilla as well.

Mortalis Brewing Company As Above So Below! Haven't heard of these guys either, but the can make on delicious stout! Everything was hitting perfectly, and I was thoroughly impressed. Simply amazing, thanks again Chris!

Day 3 from @Griff57 brought a 50mml, gold capped bottle. I was hoping it was a Treehouse stout since I had one not that long ago with this combo, but didn't want to jump the gun on the #pgw. Poured super thick, as on the MF, with nothing but rich chocolate and roast coffee.

I didn't even consider it being Triple Shot! Quickly switched up the glass and enjoyed the rest next to the grill with a good friend. The way a solid stout should be, thanks again Chris!

Day 4 from @Griff57 was a two part, 16oz cans. First one was slightly bitter, a solid amount of citra coming through, and felt a little heavy. I guessed an 8.3% DIPA, but no clue who or what.

Grimm Canopy Door, 8%, so close! Brewed with a few different hops, but the citra shined as did the enigma more so as I finished the can.

Second can, looked and felt about the same, so with my slick detective skills, I guessed another Grimm DIPA, but something with galaxy this time.

Woo! Grimm Magnetic Cloud, another 8% DIPA brewed with galaxy, motueka, columbus and mosaic hops. Slightly bitter, creamy and juicy. Thanks once again Chris!

Been slacking on posting to BA, sorry for the delay @Eziel. Here comes a bunch of posts, starting with Day 1

    Beer 1:
Eric is going with a Red, White and Blue theme for the holiday and I am digging it. Knew it was a red ale, but that was about it, pretty nice one for the style too.

    Day 1, beer 2:
I actually guessed this as possibly the raspberry and I loved it![IMG]

Thanks for the great start Eric!

Day 2 from @Eziel brought 2 more beers:

    Beer 1:

This was an excellent sour with what I thought was some sort of stone fruit. Should have known it was from Side Project based on Eric's recent hauls, but I didn't connect the dots.

Turns out that fruity flavor was grapes. This bad boy was super tart and dry and I really enjoyed it. Also my first time drinking an SP bottle to myself.

    Day 2, beer 2:
This was a big and thick coffee stout

As it warmed I started to pick up the adjunct, the coffee stayed dominate but this really rounded into form, thanks Eric!

Day 3 was a big drinking day overall for myself and @Eziel helped out by provided 3 wrapped beers:

    Beer 1:
Knew right away it was a raspberry sour and it was light and super enjoyable.
Loved the 4th theme on this one!

    Beer #2:
Had this as a sour IPA with some fruit. Turns out the hops were just so good, they were bursting with fruit flavors.
I'm a sucker for sour IPA's, but this was a really good one.

    Beer #3:

Cap said Chimay, but I didn't know which one had a blue label. I did know this was just a well made beer, loved it!

Thanks for the awesome 4th beers Eric!

Day 4 brought *5* beers from @Eziel, and I am ashamed to say I failed to drink them all. I have renewed focused to finish them today along with the beers for today.

    Beer #1:
Light gose with fruit flavors, super enjoyable and easy drinker.

    Beer #2:
Had this as a straight fruited sour, but I think I made those assumptions when the beer was ice cold.
I really liked this one, it was a bit thinner with less lactose than other Sour IPA's and I think it made it easier to drink and the flavors really popped.

This had tropical fruit flavors all over it, was a little on the sweet side for my liking, but it drank super easy for what ended up being 8.2%

Sorry I failed on the final 2 Eric, but thanks again for continuing to crush these days.

I have “slacked” on posting. Here are days 3, 4, and 5 from @dprice! He’s slinging killer IPAs my way. Day 3 is Alien Church- a long time want of mine.

Tongue Extinguisher- this was way too easy drinking.

And finally, in case this was a Tired Hands I grabbed PGW at the lake. This was a strawberry milkshake IPA. They also add apples according to the description. There’s a nice sweetness without anything artificial. Great beer!

had to do some work yesterday to get caught up with all the wrapped beers from @Eziel.
Polished off day 4 beers first:
Was pretty sure it was a sour ale with some sort of stone fruit, couldn't decide which though.

This was my second tick from these guys and they make a pretty nice sour. Once I saw peaches it all made sense.

    Last one from day 4:
Saw the JO's cap and then the smell gave away the port barrel right away. Correctly guessed this one.
I am hit or miss with port barrel, but I enjoyed this one because it was overpoweringly sweet. Thanks Eric!

Day 5 from @Eziel started with a blind chugs:

    Next up:
Saw the cap and went to grab #pgw. Dark sour ale with a hint of bourbon barrel. This is right up my ally in terms of style and it was super enjoyable.

For the last one of the day I knew what it was as soon as I saw the wax:
Like this version better than last year, thanks Eric!

Day 5 from yesterday, another Eagle Park can. Heavy maple with some chocolate coming out as it warms.

I had guessed Fat Stacks and I was right. Really great, thick stout. I haven’t had a bad beer yet from these guys.

I was lucky that @hardysf was in town to share my day 4 beers.

Here we go. Day 4 from @Bstagnone. Beer 4A. This one is super smooth and chocolatey. Not sure what it is but it’s delicious. Reveal was Tree House Stardust. Imperial Stout with chocolate, coffee, and macadamia. Macadamia was missing and coffee was ultra light but still really tasty TH stout.
Up next was Beer 4B. I got chocolate, maple syrup, and vanilla. Even more delicious and Definitely another Tree House Stout. My guess was impermanence and I was right. Holy Crap. This is a long time want and it was damn good!

Final day is a chocolatey stout with something else going on. Before I even opened any of these six days, I had a hunch one of the bombers was going to Cycle day beer (on the proper day, naturally) so I’m going with Brewgarithm Sunday.

Getting the s’mores more as it warms, otherwise it’s just tons of chocolate. Tasty.

    And here’s the entire lineup:

Thanks for the killer six days @azuelke !
