Hello fellow bier drinkers, I am another Amerikan refugee in Germany. I have been here for 9.5 years and don’t see myself leaving. My go to bier on a warm, sunny day in the alps is a refreshing Helles. I do like some IPA’s, mostly East Coast ones, and you can use the West Coast ones to scrub your floors with. If I’m on a long bike ride, I enjoy a nice Weißbier to help replace the calories being burned. Let’s see where we get along and where we disagree.
Welcome, not much things I disagree with here, but I still enjoy a fine WCIPA. Agreeing or trying to please everyone is pure folly… Prost aus Frankreich…
Ah the first of my minions has arrived. BA will soon have South Bavarian Chapter at this rate. Making Bavarian Beers Great Again!
Welcome aboard. In case you’re unaware, there are lots of places to engage with one another and add to the beer and place databases. If you really do like it here, for $12/year the Society Membership opens new content, provides perks, and eliminates the banner advertisements. not to mention how much fun it is to disagree. Educational too. Lots of virtual and actual friendships have developed here. Getting more perspectives from Europe (and other places) will be a boon for us all. So thanks for jumping into the fray.
Nice write-up, @Jackl95. Welcome to BA. We're mostly going to agree with you on everything, except maybe your West Coast IPA comment. But we'll give you time to change your opinion. Do you get back to the US occasionally to find the good ones? Hang around as much as you'd like. Explore the site to discover all of the features, and contribute to the forums and new stuff to the database where you see shortfalls. We have fun around here, and hope you do too.
