I'm a big fan. Check out this interview with Chris Webb of Newburyport Brewing Co. at: www.eaglerockfinancial.net/blog/newburyport-entrepreneur-cpa-street-chris-webb/ Anyone else going to their grand opening this Saturday? Details at http://finance.yahoo.com/news/newburyport-brewing-company-announces-grand-123000796.html
Tried their Belgian white over the weekend and really liked it. I could drink a sixer of those in no time. So smooth.
Thanks for posting. I bought some of the Belgian White and Greenhead and thought both were quite good and nice additions to the local scene. My wife and I were talking about going up that way this weekend and I may be able to make the opening.
A while ago I think they said they were aiming for...$9-10 (?) 6pks. I haven't spotted it out here yet, but did they hit that price point in the real world?
I think I've heard or seen anywhere from $8.50 to $11, so not too bad if they were shooting for $9-10. I plan on being there as well; just have no idea what time yet.
Yup - $9+ at stores in the Merrimack Valley. Good easy-drinking beers IMO. Would buy more often if they offered 12 packs in the neighborhood of $13 - $14 though.
Many, just need to do a little bit of legwork & sometimes pay attention to sales: Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, Ipswich, Widmer, Long Trail, Otter Creek, Harpoon, Magic Hat, Cisco, Wachusett, St Pauli Girl, Cisco (sale this week @ my local), Smuttynose, Sam Adams, Pilsner Urquell. A lot of the beers Newburyport is competing with, actually.
I was just curious. Personally, NBPT doesn't compete with most of those for my beer dollars. The pale and IPA didn't stand out too much for me, but I really liked the wit.
I paid $10 each time and I've bought all 3, at either Redstone or Caporale's in Wakefield. Loved the IPA. The Belgian was solid, a great go-to summer brew. The pale was ok, definitely drinkable, just not as good as the other 2, IMHO.
