    Hello all,
I'm new to brewing, just ran my first batch yesterday  It's currently sitting in my temp controlled environment. Anyhow, I just wanted to see if there are any other Lubbock TX folks in here. I would love to sit down with someone to make sure I'm doing everything right. Videos and books will only do so much for me. For what it's worth, this brew will be going in a keg.

Welcome to BA! "Lubbock or leave us!" (Sorry, couldn't help myself).

I'm not from TX but I felt the same way you do when I started out and so I joined a homebrew club and did a brew with someone and learned all of the basics, and then the not-so-basics. Have you contacted the Ale-ian Society? https://www.facebook.com/groups/lubbockhomebrew If not, you should join up. You'll meet lots of good people who share your interests, and you can learn from them.

    Good luck, and have fun!

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Lol. I've sent a couple of them PM's with no response. I'll keep trying....

Hello, I am in Lubbock as well... but have yet to brew a batch of beer, so I wouldn't be of much help. I have heard good things about Yellow House Canyon brew works though. From what I've read, it's a place that sells all sorts of brewing kits, supplies etc. But I have also heard that the staff is very helpful with showing you the ropes of brewing and formulating recipes.

Let me know if you check them out!

I'm sure you could also go talk to Mickey at The Plains Brew Co. From what I remember he is a home brewer who has gone commercial for the last several months. He'll pour you a free beer too!

I've been having a difficult time finding their shop. The address takes me to a ball field. Lol
