Headed there for work this wed through friday and staying directly across from city beer. Besides there, pump station, wolf's, lark st are there any new must hit breweries or beer bars (preferably walking distance from city beer or a cheap Uber)? Any good events? Thanks!

You're just missing the opening of a new brewery right down by Biergarten, that's next Wednesday. So bummer on that.

But, couple new(er) places than anything you've mentioned.

    - Albany Ale & Oyster on New Scotland. Draft list of 24, always incredible stuff, plus they have a nice (but small) bottle shop up front. Very good food too. If you don't eat there, right next door is The Fountain with phenomenal pizza or Graney's with some of the best wings in the area.

    - The Excelsior Pub up by Empire State Plaza. All-NY taplist, all NY foods (wings, beef on weck, chicken spedies, garbage plates, etc) and a couple pinball machines in the back. Super cozy atmosphere, owner is a top dude.

    - Lost & Found. It's where the Barrel Saloon used to be, right by Wolffs. I haven't been yet, but it's owned by people that were involved with Lionheart and I'm pretty sure the cook is from New World Bistro. Which is to say they know what they're doing with beer and with food.

    - Albany Distilling in the warehouse district just opened up, really cool mostly outdoor spot (and weather is gonna be perfect for that) with great cocktails. I know they're in the process of getting licensed to sell NYS beer/cider too, but IDK if that's happened yet.

    - Not new but under the radar, Allen St Pub (past AA&O on New Scotland) is a really cool spot. Couple things always on cask and a good rotating list otherwise.
