Newest Breweries in western Michigan

I can recommend the old, highly-regarded breweries that maybe you haven't visited yet: Greenbush Brewing in Sawyer; Tapistry Brewing, Haymarket Brewing and Transient Artisan Ales in Bridgman; The Livery in Benton Harbor; Arclight Brewing in Watervliet; Saugatuck Brewing in Saugatuck; New Holland Brewing and Our Brewing in Holland; and Oddside Ales and HawkPeak Brewing/Grand Haven Brew House in Grand Haven.

A little off the lakeshore area are Trailpoint Brewing in Allendale, and Sister Lakes Brewing near Dowagiac.

Newer ones near the lake that I've been to and liked are Silver Harbor in St. Joe; North Pier in Benton Harbor; South Haven Brewpub in South Haven.

There are some other new ones in Holland that that I haven't visited yet, or were not so great so that I won't mention them, so you're on your own to look them up and visit.

If you click on the Places on the main menu, click on Nearby (give consent for BA to know your location if necessary) and then when a map of your location comes up, you can pan it over to SW Michigan and see what all is available. Or you can stop at the Michigan Welcome Center on I-94 at the state line and see if they have any copies of the Michigan Beer Guide (in the wine brochures rack). The guide has a complete listing of all 325+ breweries in the state along with maps. However, you won't get any ratings, description, etc.

Two Guys in Wyoming Mi just opened.

 

Grand Armory Brewing in Grand Haven and Big Lake Brewery in Holland (brand new facility downtown). Muskegon also has a few including Pigeon Hill and Unruly Brewing.
