So supposedly there is a Migration Week that started yesterday in Newport, RI yesterday according to GI's website. There is no schedule posted online and most bars haven't heard of it. The only thing I have seen is Pour Judgment is having a tap takeover tonight. Any other news?

thanks Loupap! Got to enjoy Prop 14, Vanilla Rye, and The Illinois. Prop was just outstanding. Buskers got BC Coffee too. @Jwale73 Prop was tapped at 4 and was going strong when i got there at 8. It's probably still on tap today. I only saw one other guy at Midtown with the Vanilla Rye glass. Newport hasn't latched on to craft yet.
What about Norey's? not for everyone, but check out the draft list- on the website. Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break on Tap. Wharf Pub has the two new beers from Whaler's-IPA & Ginger Wheat and Sculpin Grapefruit
Not to speak for @BergBeer, but I believe he is talking about popularity of craft in Newport and not that there are not excellent locations to obtain craft. Just the fact that the Bourbon County variants can last multiple days in town during peak tourist season is evidence that whalez hunting is not as crazy as other relatively nearby locales.
@kevdemers hit the nail on the head. I'm coming from San Diego and the fact that Pour Judgment tapped Prop '14 at 4pm instead of the advertised 8pm would lead to riots in the streets. That keg would have lasted about 15 mins and everyone who showed up at 8 would have flipped and burned cars. Not that it is a bad thing that i can show up to a bar 4 hours after its tapped and get unlimited pours but it's just strange being a transplant.
went down yesterday around 2 and was able to grab a prop and coffee. prop was on fumes but the bartender at buskers (coffee) expected it to last till friday
Doreghty's isn't getting any BCBS variants. I asked a friend who works there. Oh well. Is VR still on at Midtown Oyster Bar? Thinking about crossing two bridges for a few pours. It's not exactly the biggest craft place. As stated, neither is Newport. I work at a restaurant on the opposite side of Jamestown and we had BCBCS for roughly 4 months. 1 log. Insanity.
Oh wow wish I knew they tapped at 4. I needed to leave work to the "mainland" before all the GI events in town started at 6. Oh well, no rioting on my part.
From what I have heard it's still going strong. They even moved to regular glasses it looks like from Untppd
