so, BA, has anyone tried this yet? Not uploaded yet. If it's like most Cyclone beers it'll be like $10/11 a 6er.

The folks who make the beer at Newport Storm say the brand new Cyclone Xavier is the most unique beer they have brewed.
From the style, to the technique, to sheer science behind it, Xavier is unique. It’s a sour ale with black cherry flavors.
Xavier will be available by the 6-pack and case starting the week of July 15. Like all Cyclones releases, Xavier will only be around while it lasts as it is a limited run.
Brew master Derek Luke has a microbiology background and he was able to create a beer free of the traditional method of allowing wild yeast to enter the brew naturally through barrels. It's an unpredictable process.
Instead, he was inspired by the science that makes sour cream or yogurt sour so he used other microorganisms than yeast to purposely give the beer a tart flavor.
Luke also used the least amount of hops in this beer than any other beer he's ever brewed. Natural cherry puree was added in the bright tanks as a nice sweetness to balance out the beer while still remaining true to the sour ale style.
“This was an entirely new but fun experience for the whole crew,” Luke said.
“It wasn't the traditional tasting process we normally go through- coming up with different versions of the style of beer we're going for and choosing one as a group. Because of the complexity of the sour style, we only tasted different batches after different variations of the cherry puree were added. That in itself was still a fun process to have the group go through!”
The Newport Storm Crew will kick off Cyclone Xavier at their “Sours and Sails” event on the Adirondack II on Thursday, July 18 at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $30, include Cyclone Xaviers for passengers and a harbor cruise on the 80-foot schooner!
Tickets can be purchased online at Sail Newport under the “Newport Dark & Stormy Schooner Sail” or at the Adirondack booth in downtown Newport.

I would imagine to expect this in Mass and RI just like the rest of the Cyclone beers. They have actually impressed with these DIPA and Impy were both good.

Yeah I plan on picking this up tomorrow, I heard it is in a bunch of RI stores. Vlad and Will were both better than their year-round stuff so I'm intrigued by this

Saw it for $9.99 a six-pack at Bottles in Providence. Ended up just grabbing a single for $1.99 because of my drainpour experience with Tim. I should have a review up by tomorrow.

So is it full distro to Mass as well. Or should I swing by Nikki's?

I'm sure it's in the usual haunts that carry the other Newport Storm cyclone series.
