Hello Mid-Atlantic folks! Does anybody have any feed back on this fest? My brother is having his bachelor party in Philly and we are going to do this fest as a "pre-game". A lot of us are into the craft beer part of the trip so this seems like a winner. Looks like a pretty stout list of breweries. We are not doing the early admission tickets, just regular ones. Should I expect a large crowd? Decent mix of craft folks vs chug as much as possible people? thanks in advance for any advice! looking forward to another trip into SE PA!
Went to it last year. Yes, I would expect a large crowd it was pretty packed last year. It's also pretty well spread out so it's not like you are bumping into people constantly. And yes, it's a mix between chuggers and people that are serious about beer. You will see plenty of people taking notes while they sample. I don't think any of the brewers really brought any whales with them, but then again I didn't splurge for the "First Tap" tickets. Founder's did have their Breakfast Stout which was a nice surprise. It was an all around good showing and worth the money. This years list looks pretty good and now I am considering going again. May have to give this some thought....
