Anyone been there yet? Was thinking of going there tomorrow for my customary beer-centric birthday lunch, but I'm hesitant based on some pretty awful to mediocre reviews I'm reading online. Sounds like it might be a great place to check out once they work out the kinks, but it sounds like they are many right now.

I've been twice, each time the beer was awesome. Honestly enjoy them more than I do Karben4, and the food isn't that bad. I'd highly recommend hitting it up.

Right now, the only beer really worth having in their lineup is Opie, the oatmeal porter. It's quite good. My main gripe with this place is they serve everything at what seems like 30 degrees. If you're trying to pound some super cold beer then you'll be happy. They're still very new, so I have faith kinks will be worked out.

As far as the food, I've only had the cheese curds and taste-wise they were fine, but each one was like the size of a hush puppy. I don't want a fried cheese curd that takes me three bites to eat. I jokingly mentioned this to one of the owners and he kind of just told me "yah that's how we do it and that's how it's going to be."

It may sound like I'm nitpicking--and I am--but I also feel that if you're going to have that much obvious capital to open up a brewpub, small things like the temperature of your beer and the size of your cheese curds are just as, if not more important as having apparel, glassware, stickers, and keychains to sell. It almost puts them in the category of a-bunch-of-dudes-with-a-lot-of-money-who-wanted-to-take-advantage-of-the-current-craft-beer-boom-but-don't-really-want-to-have-to-care-about-the-details.

All that aside, if you haven't been, you should go and form your own opinion. It seems very neighborhood-centric every time I've gone (varied age groups, families, etc.), and everyone seems to be having a fine time. Personally, if I'm looking for a pint I'm going to One Barrel over Next Door almost every time.

I liked it. I think their Sevex is a quality brew. Haven't tried the food and it can be quite loud, but they're working on the noise issue

Yam chips with chimmichura are a must try. Fantastic. Beers are fairly basic, but unique, and all at least decent. Sevex has been my favorite so far. Definitely worth a stop
