There were some events that didn't even include food. ie. Bretta Rosé.
they had a tacos for an additional fee

It was $8-10 for 3 tacos plus chips. You had to purchase a ticket for it in the tasting room. That line for the tasting room was too long. @Curb71

The past one went back to some decent grub. Some really tasty sausages at the pivo station, variety of cheeses and what not.

But Feral 2 is suppose to be about both the food and the beer.

Oh yeah, those sausages near the entrance, near Agrestic '13 and '14, were fantastic.

So how was the event yesterday? I'm curious to know what the turnout was like. I saw that there were still tickets available on Eventbrite all the way up until sales ended on Friday. So I'm assuming that there will be bottles available for purchase in the taproom.

No crowds at all...people arrived later in the day and still got in. Never waited more than five minutes in line for a taster (SLOambic is amazing). Great little snacks at each station...loved the Maple Bacon Doughnuts balls. No other bottles (of anything) were available anywhere in the building...don't know if there were extra bottles for sale afterward. Adam and David were both on hand...another great Liberation Party!

Looked like after the event ended there was a lot of bottles left over at the pick up table. Wouldn't doubt if they become available in the tasting rooms. I missed out, but heard the Bravo aged in 30 year Heaven Hill barrels was amazing!

^ This was basically bourbon up front with undertones of bourbon.

BTW, not to complain, but I feel like most of the beers were much colder than they should have been. Would not be a problem if I took my time though haha

So how does the Feral One Batch 2 compare with the original Feral One?

yes they were cold, but with a small volume and glass easily cupped in hand, can warm up pretty quickly

Hard to say based on a little taster of Batch 2...need to do a side by side. Did get confirmation that Helldorado is replacing DDBA, was pretty sure but Adam confirmed. Someone who was pouring mentioned the possibility of some more Saucer in a few years...may just have been talk but I'd sure like a bit more of that!

And yes, they were a bit cold but I couldn't let 'em warm up when there were such small lines for more...my bad.

A significant improvement for me at least, though I also liked the first batch. The new batch of Bretta Rose was my favorite though, much more fruit-forward than last years batch. They're really hitting their stride down there right now.

I wasn't there but did any of you notice that the new Bretta rose batch has more color to it from the raspberries than the previous release? Just curious since people are saying it was more fruit forward..

It was a bit more vibrant in color, very bright red. It was tasting awesome, lots of fruity tartness with some mellow sweetness underneath.

I dont think it was a new batch although I could be wrong. I asked the guy serving it if this was last years or a new batch and he said he had no idea.

I doubt they would pour the newest Rosé batch before it is officially "liberated". But I could be wrong. Much like I thought I would be able to get some F1 bottles without going to the event since it sat on the shelves for close to two months last year. According to their Twitter, batch 2 "was all sold at our liberation"

Since @bulletrain76 works at FW(albeit the Paso one not barrelworks) and is pretty knowledgable on these things, I would believe what he said to be true
