" Barrelworks will not be open to the public on this day".... not nice, not nice...

Yeah. Just saw that. Dammit. Guess I was hoping for a 1-3PM sort of deal. Or later.

If i recall correctly it wasn't open to the public on the last release. That said, 12 bottle limit on agrestic, 6 on feral vinifera means they will have at least half the total produced cases still available (edit: available after the release party).

Ouch... the $64 for the last one was steep, but definitely worth it; but, $80 and only 3 bottles included (I know, it's $42 worth, about the same as the $44 worth of Bretta Weisse in the last liberation) is really pushing what I can get past the wife.

Ah, didn't think about that. Guess I'll be heading up Sunday morning then.

There will be more people there on Sunday morning than on Saturday, with keeping the Zwanze Day in mind too.

They usually close at 7pm. The event ends at 2pm. So that means they are going to close 5 hours earlier than normal and not reopen until noon on Sunday?

Yup. Confirmed with the brewery. Also, other sad news: Feral vinifera will not be available outside of the liberation.
I guess I will skip my drive on Sunday in this case too.

That's crazy. So if all of them aren't sold they will just keep them and not sell any Sunday? Bummer! I'll probably skip the 2 hour drive Sunday too then. :slight_frown:

A bit steeper on the price tag, but factoring in food, it's still a decent price. I mean, if Feral One's release was any indication on the endless, and I mean endless amounts of really exotic and interesting food options, I'm excited.

Closing 5 hours earlier to keep the staff happy sounds like a firestone thing to do. No one wants to work a large event and then work 5 more hours after that.

Knowing them the left over Vini will randomly show up in the fridge. I was there last Friday and they put out parabola, merkin, etc like it never was sold out. It's nice for us locals who don't want to deal with the craziness of an event. We can still get the beers we've gotten used to over our beer drinking lifetime.

I'd be fine with just Agrestic. But I really wish I could go to the event itself because I'm sure the food and everything will be awesome.

Had what I think is the most recent batch of Agrestic recently, and it was really, really good. Had it along with Framboise de Amorosa/Tart of Darkness/Bourbon Sour Porter (all different types of sours, I concede), and I dare say it was the winner of the bunch. Firestone draws out those oak flavors so damn well.

I don't get it - do you get 3 bottles of each for that price?

It looks to me that you get Agrestic for that price and the opportunity to shell out more dough at the event for Vini.

Depends. Your option is 3 or 6 Agrestic depending on which ticket you buy. Then, separately, you can buy the Feral Vinifera. Regardless of which ticket you buy you get unlimited tastings, food and a tasting snifter.

6 agrestics comes out to $83.94

You're essentially paying $16.06 + service fee for endless pours of the 7-8 or so beers they're serving at the stations they set up in the barrel room as well as all you an eat.

Shit, that's better than going to Hometown Buffet any day of the week.
