Two winners per style per winnner... Interesting. So, winners will get 6 bottles and losers will get none. Well played, Upland. Well played.

hard to tell. each SBS member could buy 3 of each....they must be ramping up production....or are just counting on having very few lottery winners....

ya just judging by the boards here it seemed like half the damn BA won last time with the 2 bottle count one. With the SBS getting up to three, you imagine they must have a ton more. But your right, they could just have a bunch of losers in the lottery.

The 11th street brewpub from what I understand is now solely devoted to lambics and other 'special' releases. They opened up a production facility on the west side of time to brew all the year round and seasonals. It was only a matter of time until supply got more in line with demand.

I don't know, now that they're so easy to get I don't think I'm interested. Haha.

I don't see these selling out every time any more. It seems like they JUST did Raspberry and Strawberry.

Im sure they did cherry and raspberry with the last lotto and i think we got screwed out of the s4 cause the members bought them all up, but cant remember the last time they did strawberry. I might have missed that one but id really like to try the strawberry.

Strawberry was the release prior to the most recent. It was in the same release as Kiwi and Blackberry.

I wouldn't say anyone got screwed, it's not like anyone was promised bottles of SR4 outside of the society.

While I technically agree with you, I do have to say that society members are the only ones who got screwed. $250 for the 'right' to purchase beer. I mean Upland lambics and special releases are good, but come on - you're going to average $50/bottle for 12 bottles when it's said and done. In comparison, the el Catador members paid $120 and are getting some pretty sweet perks out of it too.

If you end up buying the 40+ bottles that you will be able to purchase over the course of the year! it turns in to a pretty minimal 'tax' for not having to fuck around with the lottery.

As i recall the last lotto went like this- All quotes from this site.....

    http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/upland-sour-lottery-cherry-raspberry-sr-4.130874/

"Here is the link for the next Upland Sour lottery. Cherry and Raspberry Lambics along with Sour Reserve 4 are in the lottery this time around. Next Tuesday, November 26th, is when the lottery entry opens, and winners/pickup will be in December. Good luck to all!"

"did something change - where is the SR4?"

"Welcome to the Upland Brewing Company online sour lottery for the release of two of its sour ales: Raspberry and Cherry fruited Lambic-style ales. For this lottery we are allowing each lottery winner to reserve either one OR BOTH of these sours. Please do not try to enter more than once, as your entries will be canceled."

"maybe all the SBS members bought all the Sour Reserve 4? I know they were allowed to buy 3 bottles of each. but it's definitely changed the lottery...."

"got a response from upland - "SR4 was reserved out by SBS members & persimmon redemptions, although if we have some left over after pickups we may release them for sale to the public at the end of the end.""

So the word screwed might be a little strong but, at the start of the announcement of the lotto S4 was defiantly listed. Maybe not promised but something changed. Does anyone else remember that.......

I lost in the last lottery. The day they sold the extras I went over to the B'ton pub early (it's 2 miles away) and nobody was there. I went for a walk, then another walk, then another walk. Finally somebody showed up around 10:15 and I talked to him until they opened at 11. Two other people showed up right at 11. They were only going to sell us one bottle total. We pointed out there were only 4 of us so we all got one of each including SR4. A couple of weeks later I was there and they had several Cherries and one Raspberry unsold at the bar.

How are they getting screwed? They got exactly what they paid for - membership to a society that allows them to purchase bottles but which doesn't include bottles in the membership price.

Tomorrow is the day , is anyone going for 6 bottles? 2 of each kind? seems like it would be really pricey.

So how do you enter the lottery anyway? I went to the link (I created an account with eventbrite) but nowhere on the page to actually sign up for the lottery.
