NFL Survivor Pool - 2018

Ok looks like we've got a consensus with 7 votes for Option #2.

Everyone gets at least 1 box, and I'll start working on targets based on geography once we get the last bit cleared up;

To determine which 8 of 13 "winners" receive a second box, I will provide 8 questions surrounding this week's TNF game (Vikings @ Rams). All 13 participants must PM me their answers before kickoff on Thursday.

• Correct answer (or closest answer) will get a 2nd box, and that person's answers will be removed from all subsequent questions.
  • i.e. - No one can win more than 1 extra box in this way.
• I will pull answers in sequential order - Question #1 through #8.
  
• NO "Price is Right" rules - meaning guesses of 3 and 5 will be considered a tie, if the answer is 4.
• Ties will be broken by a tiebreaker question.

I have sent my guesses to @dmbforever (BA Mod, and impartial party) and I will also post them here once everyone has sent me their answers via PM. No changing answers once submitted.

The results are in! Here are everyone's guesses for TNF;

1. How many total rushing yards will there be during the game?
   • 154 - Closest was @TheOneTC with 157
2. How many total passing yards will there be during the game?
   • 848 - Closest was @cosmo4u with 635
3. How many receptions will Adam Thielen have in the game?
   • 8 - Ruckit guessed correctly. TheoneTC also had the correct answer, but previously won a box
4. How many passing attempts will Jared Goff have in the game?
   • 33 - @Franfab guessed correctly, and won the tiebreaker over Tom_V for attendance (74300 vs. 68500, respectively; Correct answer 72027)
5. How many field goals will be made in the game?
   • 4 - @MastaaaGrillaaa won the tiebreaker here, over Tom_V, kennyo, and Wittyname (73777 attendance guess)
6. How many punts will there be in the game?
   • 6 - @FalconCount won the tiebreaker over kennyo, Wittyname,and jpatag66 (71358 attendance)
7. How many total sacks will there be during the game?
   • 5 - @Mateo2699 won the tiebreaker over Theredflame, kennyo, and jpatag (69950 attendance)
8. How many total points will be scored in the third quarter?
   • 18 - @jpatag66 guessed exactly correct.

The winners listed above will receive 2 boxes, and the 5 who are not listed will receive 1.

Targets will go out later today, and we'll set a shipping deadline of Monday, October 29th.

Round 2 invites have been sent to those who have asked - if you want back in (or in for the first time), shoot me a PM. I believe we can have people join up until kickoff at 1pm Sunday.

 

Round 2 is rolling, with all 17 participants surviving Week 4, and 8 of 17 already surviving Week 5 by taking the Pats on TNF.

Based on these numbers, here's the anticipated payout;

2nd - 3
3rd - 2
4th - 1
5th - 1

Hope everyone is OK with the split, although I anticipate having multiple people eliminated simultaneously towards the end, and this will all go to shit again, haha.
