    Hi all,

As a resident I feel dumb posting this but we have the day tomorrow to go up for an early hike then no plans but some beer after and eats. We’re heading back 93 to Portsmouth and I can honestly say I don’t know much from Lincoln south so thought it might be helpful for the leaf peepers and ski bums later.

Any suggestions welcome. Going to check out One love brewing since not far Mt Liberty.

Mt. Liberty? Nice. Back in my crazier days I'd work a late Thursday night shift in RI then drive straight up to the White Mountains for a dawn arrival to hike.

If it were me I'd take the scenic route back and drive 302 to Mt Washington hotel to the "wine cave", followed by a trip down 16 through Conway with a stop at Moat Mountain, then continue back to Portsmouth. But I won't be the one with rubber legs!

Depending on your timing, lunch at Biedermans Deli in Plymouth (usually a solid list of NH taps). Kettlehead in Tilton is also pretty easy off/easy on 93 South.

If time isn't a concern, I'd just drive the 15 min north from Franconia Notch to Schilling. Can't find a better post hike meal/beer combo in the whites. Rek Lis is another option in Bethlehem but it's also 15 min north. Only ate there once, but food was ok. Beer is nowhere near as good as Schilling though.

This is the correct answer. But if you don't want to head north, Kettlehead's food might be better than the beer and the beer is really really good.

Not that you asked (and it's too late now), but I can't recommend Mad River Coffeehouse in Campton enough for breakfast. It's a must stop for me when I head to the Whites to hike or ski.

Hopefully you had clear skies, Liberty is low-key one of the best views in the Whites.

We enjoy the Dam Brewhouse in Campton.

The Pemi Public House in Lincoln has a solid list of beers, its next door to the Woodstock inn

White Mountain Brewing is sort of a hole in the wall but has some solid beers
