I know I am a few months out, but planning a trip to Toronto, and on the way back home (WI) was going to go through Niagra Falls NY. Would love to grab some tasty East Coast hop bombs while there. Any recommended bottle shops in that area? Any places that would have Heady? Sip of Sunshine? Anything else?

Appreciate any guidance you all can give!

    Cheers

Heady and Sip of Sunshine are (essentially) only available in Vermont, which is at least 4-5 hours from Niagara Falls. For a place with solid food and great beers in tap, Griffon Gastropub in NF is probably your best bet. For a bottle shop, about 20-25 minutes closer to Buffalo is Premier Gourmet which is easily the best bottle shop in the area. However, this would be a little out of the way if you're driving back to Wisconsin from Niagara Falls (assuming you'll be going through Canada on the way back).

Appreciate it, all good info. May have to do a detour to Premier Gourmet

Also not beer related , but the American side of Niagara Falls is a shit hole. The Canadian side is way better, with much more to do.

New shop about 50 minutes from my house. Haven't been there yet because I'm fortunate enough to have many bottle shops nearby. But I have heard really good things. It's only a half hour from premier if you wanted to hit up both.

Great place. Great owner. Small store, but keeps everything fresh and has everything you would want that premier has without the gambles of getting stale dated bottles. Just added a crowler station as well. It's my new go-to spot for my beer buying. You can just hit the queenston-lewiston bridge if you are coming from toronto and you will be 5 minutes from the place.

Thin Man Brewery in Buffalo is trying their best at some decent versions of east coast hops so they are good option to check out and B&B usually has one of their beers on tap. Also, Woodcock Brothers Brewery releases a nice ipa called xpa that might be out when you are swinging through.

Skip the consumers beverages in niagara falls, ny unless you want to pop your head in to see what they have on the counter. sometimes some goodies slip through the cracks there, but most their ipas are old unless they are seasonal.

To completely sound like cliché beer tourist, what would be some attainable options for me when in the area in trying to get that "hazy, juicy," IPA that the east coast is becoming famous for? The couple I have had the opportunity to sample I have really enjoyed, and am really hoping in securing some during my travels. Thanks.

Not a whole lot of options at the beer store. They might have Some single cut. If you happen to stumble acoss a Grimm release or upstate double being in stock. If not you might have to go to the buffalo area breweries. Thin man has bliss and very friendly for crowler fills. Resurgence has head in the clouds, and big ditch has deep cut. All 3 breweries are within 10 minutes of each other.

Allen Burger Venture in Buffalo is not only absurdly delicious but usually has some Grimm cans (at least they have the few times I've been there). Probably your best bet.
