Cant name one specifically however Id suggest you hang out in the "Vieux Nice" neighborhood. Its probably the best area in the city to have a decent beer and meal. Im late to reply so hopefully your didnt make the journey yet. All kind of Irish and British pubs with a fairly good selections.
Try "socca" when you are there. It's a chickpea flour pancake fried in olive oil with cracked black pepper and is delicious!!
I'm here now and suggest wine or Champagne Beer is nearly non-existent from what I've seen. Good however is extremely easy to find good meals, you can't go wrong nearly anywhere.
NP. Nice might be one if not my fave French city. Aside from beer of course. Its very beautiful and mediterranean. You might be surprised to meet many Americans and Brits There. If you dont speak french you should be fine. Make sure to say "Bonjour" first and "merci" last at least. they are accustomed to tourists anyway. Cheers
