    Hey BAs!

I haven't seen any posts about this and thought it may be of interest to some. A co-worker let me know he was going to the Bottle Release Party for Night Shift's Bean Porter last night. I didn't know anything about it, but looked into it pretty quickly.

It sounds like Bean Porter is fantastic -- a porter aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla and coffee beans. Luckily, I asked him to grab me a few bottles. They are on my desk right now and maybe you want your own if this sounds good to you.

An FYI from another friendly BA...I have no affiliation with Night Shift. Heck, I didn't even know about the bottle release.

    Cheers!

This was on my radar but didn't get a chance to grab it. I'm also looking very much forward to the re-release of El Lechedor.

Bean Porter is one of my favorite Night Shift brews. Really hoping there's bottles left when I go to the brewery on Saturday.

They made a huge batch so there should definitely be some left.

Kind of dicked over the snowboard company that they 'collaborated' with last year by rebranding this and not having them apart of it again this year.

Went last night. I think its better than last year. My only gripe is there is no bourbon/oak to speak of.

They gave out nice Bean Porter steins to the first 300 people too.

Curious if this is brewery only or is it hitting the shelves?

I believe it's brewery only, but not positive.

Tried it last night and it was really good. Whole lot of fresh coffee upfront and in the smell.

Not sure about the dicking, but the new labels are crap. Last year's were very classy for a great beer.

A very nice coffee porter, like someone else said not a lot of barrel to speak of but definately a GREAT porter. I heard they are going to hit limited distro but this was a rumor in line. The steins were a nice addition though.

A small amount of Bean is hitting stores, one case per store. Still have about 1,000 bottles left in the taproom for sale too.

Yes, the bourbon is subtle for this beer. We wanted bourbon/oak to be a piece of the flavor profile and not a dominating force. Hope people enjoy it!

This is a killer beer. As others have said, the bourbon/barrel are subtle, but it's a very well executed coffee, vanilla porter. Maybe my favorite NS beer ever.
