I wonder if some of the 3/17 Morph went into the old style cans. Some of the places tweeting about deliveries this week had the old can, and the cans I bought at Julio's were the old style that had just been delivered (3/23)

They're most likely using up old stock of cans that they had, all the Morph at Julio's was canned 3/17. That new design is sick though, big fan.

I ended up checking the rest of my cans, the first just had a smudge but the rest were marked 3/17

Same here. I heard it tastes better out of the new can  Kidding aside, this batch is awesome.

About half of the 3/17 batch went into the old shrink sleeved cans and the rest went into new ones. So there is a mix out there. Going forward it should be the new printed cans only.

Nearly all our cans are now in their new printed can homes. We are also switching everything over to the hard plastic/PakTech handles too. Look way better and easier to carry.

@masterob8 Are we able to return the PakTech four-pack handles to the brewery for reuse? I know they are recyclable but the ones I've seen seem solid enough to be reusable.

Haven't thought about that. They are nearly 100% recyclable and made from 96% recyclable material. So tossing them in the recycling isn't a bad option. Let me chat with our team and see if we want to accept them from customers.

My initial concern is what if they are dirty/gross/moldy and what if their structural integrity isn't great after first use. Hate for cans to fall out or nastiness to grow on a fresh run.

Firstly - I love Night Shift and everything you all are doing. I see big things for me, Furth and Whirlpool this summer. Big things.

Secondly - on the topic of cans (or not using cans), any chance we'll be able to score Whirlpool, Morph, Santilli, etc. in growlers? I've never seen them advertised on the website as being available in growlers. Would love to blow a few minds with super fresh beer from the tap at parties and such.

I'd love this. I'm sure they have their reasons, but these have only ever been available in cans since they starting canning at 87 Santilli...

Night Shift is the one brewery I never bring a growler to at this point. With 11 offerings pouring right now, they're only doing growlers for three of them -- and they're often beers that haven't been around very long.

All of the beer used to be available for growler fills back in the days before cans. Now that the cans exist they've nixed growler fills for those beers (rightfully so IMHO).
I think as long as the beer is in cans you are better off not getting a growler for that beer. The beer in growlers faces several challenges vs in cans (ie mini kegs) -- Growlers are glass, have screw tops, will loose carbonation and the beer starts to fade as soon as the growler is filled. The beer in the cans will be fresher than your Growler fill ever will. Plus, with the cans NSB can provide better quality control on the product vs your growler.
And, the bar is getting super busy (good problem to have). It's much faster to go grab a 4pk (from either the brewery or many shops) then fill a 64oz growler and slow the whole bar down while the whirlpool tap is being used.

As much as I like growlers of beer (and I really do)... I won't buy a growler of beer over a prepackaged canned offering.

To each their own but if I plan to drink it within a week I would grab a growler every time, especially if it is the cheaper option.

As @pgbond noted all beer that is packaged in bottle or can is not available in growlers. We feel that its the best for the beer and customer experience to have it properly packaged vs filled via a tap. Nearly always, the same batch is on draft as in cans so there shouldn't be too much difference.

Does anyone know if there was a line over there this afternoon?

No line between noon and 1, but a lot of people were grabbing cases and leaving. I doubt it lasts the night.

Edit: I saw a lot of cases go, but people were also getting just 1 or 2 4pks, but with ~140 cases it won't last long.
