    Fake news.

(I actually agree with your point, just not your example.)

Anyone have any update on AB Lechedor? I know regular Lechedor bottles were scrapped this year, but they did mention that it would NOT affect AB...

not really digging this updated 87. 11/16 batch. I'm not getting much tropical of anything. It's def piney and bitter which I like, but there's this off malt on the finish. Oh well.

Lots of chobani is my take. Hard pass

Yeah they seem to have taken a quality beer and abandoned it in the pursuit of fashionable NEIPA dollars.

Can anyone comment on aging the Maple Cinnamon Darkling? Will those flavors drop off in a good way or a bad way?

Can't comment on aging it, but drinking it fresh I was pretty disappointed. Not a lot of maple in there at all, lots of cinnamon. I don't know if I was expecting a totally different beer or if it just wasn't great.

The rule of thumb with most adjuncts is to drink as fresh as possible. It will always drop off to my understanding. The only time that's a good thing is if they were too strong to begin with

Maple Cinnamon Darkling is SO GOOD.

    That's all I got.

I never had the first recipe of The 87, but this new recipe is very tasty. Great to have this on shelves!

I was disappointed in the maple cinnamon darkling. Not a lot of the flavors came through. Their prices for the "special" beers are not worth it for me anymore since I have yet to have one that's worth the price IMO. Still love whirpool all day long but have been disappointed too many times now, which sucks because they have 2 new stouts now that sound good but I have no reason to believe they will be good.

This is where I am too. I bought all three Darkling's and only cracked the Maple Cinnamon, and it wasn't great. I got a couple of cans of Timber! and Second Breakfast as well, and they were both super disappointing, Timber! especially. I think I'm going to stick to just getting Morph and One Hop's from now on.

This is the exact problem I have with this Brewery. Aside from fresh Santilli, I've been disappointed by every beer they make. Every beer.

El Lechedor was the final straw.

Are you talking about bottles of Lechedor, or on draft this year? I enjoyed it on draft well enough, but not $25 a bottle enough...

Draft was OK, I'm referring to the bottles.

Night Shift pricing is absurd for the "quality" of beer you're getting.

I feel that their canned stuff is a relatively fair price, $14 for pales/IPA's, $16 for DIPA's/Stouts but yeah, the bottled stuff is absurd.

I’ve got a bottle of Maple Cinnamon Darkling. I’ll find out soon enough I guess, but what are the general critiques? Bourbon hot and not well integrated? Can’t taste the cinnamon and/or maple? Body too thin? Some off flavors creeping in?

I'm curious too. Is it just bad? Good, but not what you had high hopes for? Good, but not as advertised? I've got (2) of each. May have one next weekend at a stout pahty.
