I thought the ones on the left were can pour 16 ounce sized only but it's possible I can't read.

@masterob8 can we get a ruling -- can I read or not?

Have seen 4-5 different OHTT varieties on the shelf same time at a handfull of local stores. The good ride may be over. Hopefully they can right-size production.

    A ruling? Laugh!

Whatever. No need to doubt your reading abilities. Maybe I was wrong. Chill mate

The menu at the taproom highlights any beers that are can or bottle pours. We try to nail down draft and package selling out at the same time. Sometimes we are wrong and we still have great beer in package but not in draft. So its a new thing for us to offer this much can pours. As with all NSB beer its kept cold from the moment it entered the brite tank till we pour it for you!

Good ride over? It's just getting started. Lots of exciting things in the works.

I'm sure. I was referring more to there starting to be older beer on the shelves from the OHTT series. If that proliferates the good ride I have had of super fresh OHTT weekly will end. There has to be a ceiling on continual order of fresh product when older stuff is still there. 5+ iterations of the beer feels to be about that point.

I've been noticing the same thing with the added confusion that many of the local places I go to don't seem to understand there is a difference between OHTT batches so the shelf/cooler is a mess of different OHTT varieties all piled together.

Regardless, there are dates on all of the cans. It's one of two (or possibly both) problems.

    1) The stores aren't rotating out old stock.

    2) They don't consider two month old beer "old stock". In which case, some, like myself, will just pass on older stock of Nightshift at the store, and buy fresher product from the brewery itself if I really want it.

They come out so often though, two, maybe three iterations of it likely aren't that old. But five is a bit much. At $13 - 14 per four pack, I think many people will go for the freshest product possible.

@Sweatshirt & @pgbond - We did switch production around in January to allow for a more regular release of OHTT. We now realize that its too many variations too quickly and without an easy way to distinguish can art consumers and retailers are slightly confused and view them as all the same. We have started to change around the pak-tech colors from batch to batch to help better identify it and we have been working with stores to put out signage letting people know they are different. More in the works too. Anyways - its all a learning process.

Our goal is always to have the freshest beer in the market. We aren't trying to make beer just for the sake of selling more. So we are rolling out adjustments to better match demand to production schedule. All part of our constant quest to provide world class fresh beer to MA fans.

That is actually probably a good thing. Keep it on tap for a couple weeks. Also, they didnt say AB El Lech wasn't being bottled :stuck_out_tongue:

If you're honestly seeing 5+ variations of OHTT on your stores shelf, maybe it's time to find a new package store

Thank you. That's all I was getting at. This is great.

Not sure what you are on about. I've seen this at 3 very popular stores. Ella, Motueka, Simcoe, Nelson, Falconer's Flight. A couple had a couple older 4 packs that probably got lost in the shuffle. It's a lot of different beers coming out with little delay with the same labels. It is possible to make more beer than can be sold over a time period. I'm not going to stop shopping at great beer shops, but thanks for the input.

@masterob8 are you guys planning on another release of fluffy? The Idaho7 OHTT was amazing by the way. Up there with Vic's Secret and Motueka as my favorites

Beergeek-favored stores are the biggest culprits of this.

Yes, another batch of Fluffy is on the schedule for a early June release. Subject to change but that's the current plan.

The Falconer's Flight OHTT is fantastic. Piney with just enough grapefruit without getting into the OJ world.

I've done a 180 on the OHTT series. After busting the palate with (delicious) hazy juice bombs, the single hop brews, along with Whirlpool (which I re-discover every few months and declare it my favorite beer ever), are hitting me perfectly right now.

Is the 87 new recipe canned yet? I bought a four pack a few weeks ago and it was the same 87 recipe as always.

Just picked up the new presidential one called Polk. Phenomenal. Fruity, little juicy, nice hop bite. Like the big brother of the best in the Morph series

@masterob8 - With so many OHTT and Morphs coming fast and furious, and the tap room being full most of the time, esp weekends, what's the reasoning behind still only allowing cans to be sold by the 4 pack. Why not allow breaking them up a la Trillium?

I'd love to be able to get all four varieties of something, for example, but having to buy 16 cans to do it is excessive.
