    Night Shift Gets Canned!

    Hey Everyone,

We're excited to announce that Night Shift is now in cans! Starting today, we'll be offering Marblehead, our new amber session ale, in 16oz. cans! Inspired by the flavor of salted caramel candy, we brewed this ale to hint at both the salty and the sweet. To give the beer truly local character, we teamed up with Marblehead Salt Co. for access to their hand-crafted finishing salt harvested off the coast of Marblehead, MA. With caramel malts and vanilla beans complementing the beer’s crisp, oceanic profile, we encourage you to enjoy this can seaside or lakeside, slopeside or fireside, dayside or, of course, nightside.

We'll be selling the cans in 4-packs or by the case from the taproom startingtoday at 3pm (it's as fresh at it gets - being canned right now!). You can also order a 4oz. pour or include it in a flight. Next week, we'll have it out for distribution to our locals partners, so you can find it in and around Boston. Grab a Marblehead and crack your first Night Shift can!

Also, Cape Codder Weisse is back on tap for those that missed it, and we have bottles ready to go (limit 2 per customer). Plus, we currently have both Art #17 and Art #19 on tap, both wild golden ales aged in brandy barrels, each fermented with a different strain of brettanomyces (wild yeast). Both available for drafts, and Art #19 for 32oz. growler fills!

And finally, all remaining 2013 Barrel Society member bottles that aren't picked up by members tonight will go on sale to the public at noon tomorrow(Saturday). Check our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) tomorrow morning for an update about what's available!

    Cheers,

    -The Night Shift Brewers

Man, it seems like these kids are going 100 MPH at that brewery! Rapid growth, constant innovation, and now a canning line? I hope they keep hitting home runs because they've been on fire lately

I assume this is being done using the same Iron Heart mobile canning operation that Wormtown used...but I'm happy to be proven wrong!

Fyi, price at the brewery is $12/4pk.

As @emannths stated we are using the mobile canning service from Iron Heart. Cheers!

Most of the Craft Beer Cellar stores got a shipment late last night. More will go out next week to our other accounts and some new ones in/around Marblehead. Hope you enjoy!

18 barrels/180 cases were packaged. Julio's will be getting some. If people like Marblehead we will brew another batch or two. Might also can some other beers too, possibilities of a Berliner Weisse, saisons, and hoppy session beers are all being discussed.

Awesome thanks for info. Only reason I don't buy too much of your beer is the 750ml glass format. Having it in cans is perfect. 16oz is the best volume for a solo drink and sharing, plus cans travel well.

Totally understand. And that is why we are exploring the format. We love it for all those reason too.

A canned Berliner would be the perfect summer beer.

This is what came to mind when I first read Night Shift and cans... Bring it on.

BTW, what's the exact ABV on Marblehead? Just curious.

What locations in / around Marblehead are getting this? Shubies? Vinnin Square Liquors?

Tried it on tap at the brewery. Very tamed and mellow by Night Shift standards, but they were aiming for a session beer, which it fits just right. Nose was incredibly fresh. But I think it was a very fresh batch as well. I didn't detect vanilla though, but I had a small portion - had to run - so maybe that's why. Overall, I thought it was a nice session beer.
