It looks like the release is next Sunday. What are the chances of bottles still being there around 4-4:30pm? My flight lands at 2:45pm, so I'll try to get there ASAP afterwards.

Depends on the number of bottles, I'd say (a fact I don't know), and limits. I think NS tends to do a great job of making sure they maximize the amount of people who get bottles. I'd keep your hopes high.

Hopefully with the expanded brewing and barrel aging capacity they'll have even more than last year. I certainly hope it doesnt sell out in one day, but i also feel like night shift has gotten a lot more popular.

On a side note, has Night Shift stopped doing growlers? I havent seen a beer for growlers fills on their on-tap page in ages.

It would be nice if it lasted a few days...I'm going to be out of town till 11/2 and will unfortunately miss the release.

What I've been told is... if the beer is available in any prepackaged to go format, it is not available for growler fills. Draft only beer is usually available for growler fills pending volume they have available.
This also means they won't fill growlers of any of their flagship beers even if the cans are sold out.

Was told they are going to try and limit it to two bottles per person. I'm sure it will last a couple of days, but ive been mistaken before. Thursday 5pm they are having a tasting in Charlestown at brewers fork... recommend checking out the draft list at this place.

wow $20 each? It's not a lot more than usual but between this, visiting some breweries in NH, and halloween parties, i'm going to end up spending way too much on beer this weekend.

Last time I was there they were taking 64 oz growlers back from a few people and said they will not be doing growlers for a very long time...

Just came here to say that I've been to multiple NS beer releases and they do it the best! In the past they've had entertainment while you wait in line, which is just classy IMO. Also, when I've made it inside I've noticed (probably) all the staff working the bar, some just solely packaging bottles and delivering them to registers so causes less movement for the employees and quicker for the customer. With the Annex, they will have even more room!
So, for those going, the beer will be plentiful, the place will be well run, and hopefully WE will all behave well, and no 'douchebaggery' will ensue.

Had it on tap at the Brewers Fork on Thursday night and was able to compare to '15. There is noticeably more bourbon/booze to this year's vintage compared to last...so good.

Do you think it could be that the bourbon/booze has simply mellowed over the course of a year?

I know I've found this to be the case with other barrel-aged stouts/regular imperial stouts.

So what's the verdict? Hefty sticker price.

No doubt that could be the case. But I don't remember getting that much booze off last last year's release...it definitely seemed more chocolate to me.

I hear ya, that's sort of what happens to me with Kentucky Breakfast Stout each year. I remember some year's being boozier and others more chocolate.

Does anyone know if this will potentially last on draft until Saturday?

Looks like Darkling is still on tap. Any idea how long bottles lasted this time?

I bought 2 bottles last night, so unless it sold out in the last 24-hrs, still some available.

if you look at the on-tap page it shows they still have bottles. I dont think they will sell out soon.
