Any thought to canning your 87 DIPA? Had it at the brewery and it was awesome.

Hard to trust my memory, but Santilli was a more intense experience of the same thing. Some tropical fruit flavor with an assertive bitter backbone and dry finish.

Is this going to go the way of Be Hoppy? Let me clarify: They can, and 20min later its gone from the store, and doesn't hang around the brewery for long either. On one hand, Congrats to NS as they found an obvious winner, but on the other I feel it is tough to the consumer due to availability. I understand limitations that @masterob8 has listed in other threads, but it is tough for us working stiffs to be able to enjoy this beer easily..Rant over

I was at Night Shift last night for Geeks Who Drink trivia (which was a blast) and they still had Santilli cans for sale.

On a related note, I had a great time on my first visit to the brewery. Very cool space. I had The 87 on draft as well as a flight of Viva, Maracuya, Santilli, and Belefonte. Can't wait to visit again.

They've canned twice now -- Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, June 3, if I've got my dates correctly. The first time they canned, I think cans were gone by COB on Friday, May 22 -- but that was the first-ever batch, so there was a ton of demand from those of us who normally frequent the brewery.

As far as the Wednesday, June 3 batch, I think cans were still available last night... They were selling them late Sunday afternoon anyway. So if they're lasting a week... that's pretty good. I'd expect they'd be canning another batch the week of June 15 or at the very least the week of June 22.

And not to hijack the thread, but @masterob8, that Maracuya is on point. Whoa. Never tasted anything like it. Delicious.

Agreed, Maracuya was delicious. I only had a taster of it in my flight, but thought it was excellent. I would have ordered a full pour, but gotta stay sharp for trivia!

Hey @sgulner - Santilli is meant to be year round and we hope to have it consistently available but we are limited by tank space and hop contracts (as well as Iron Heart's canning schedule). We are expecting 3 new 40bbl tanks this week which will increase our capacity by 50%! Not all of it will be for Santilli but hoppy and most likely canned beer will make up a good percentage of what goes into those tanks. Right now the plan is to can 40bbl batch every 2 weeks. Canning days are on Wednesday (next one is the 17th).

Our goal is to always have Santilli available at the taproom. The first run sold out way faster than we expected and thus the second run we held back more cases for the taproom. Cans are still for sale today. They might even last till the weekend. This does mean that few cases went out to accounts which sucks but its our only option now. We have over 100 retail accounts that carry our beer and a packaging run only nets us 300 or so cases. Which only leaves accounts getting a few cases per batch sadly.

We aren't trying to create scarcity and limit people access to it. Just the nature of the beast for a small brewery. With everyone's continual support we can grow faster and try to meet the massive demand. In the meantime, visit the taproom we have a ton of variety and are generally well stocked with beer to go, not to mention a ton of draft only beers. 100% galaxy IPA (draft/growlers only) should hopefully hit the taps on Friday and is tasting delicious.

    Cheers!

Thanks @masterob8 , understand the scheduling, and am always happy to go to the Brewery as am close. Cant wait for the 100% galaxy, always something good on there! Speaking of scheduling, am also impatiently waiting for the next Whirlpool cans to become available (next week I hear?). Not trolling, as said in earlier post am happy one of my local breweries is doing good. Just looking out for my own needs and wants! Keep up the good work!

Yup, next week on the 17th. Whirlpool should be canned every two weeks as well. We might even be able to move to weekly canning of Whirlpool once the new tanks are up and running and Iron Heart's scheduling allows (which will be in August).

    Cheers,
    Rob

I'm mad at you for putting Viva Habanero back in the lineup a few days after I visited (Friday.)

I guess that means I need to go back. Oh the horror
