Did the new batch of whirlpool make it into 16oz cans? If I can make it happen consistently in Charleston, it will be my go-to summer beer!

Baccos in the back bay has lots of Santilli available and are shockingly only charging $13 per 4 pack. This place usually has horrible markup on beers but for some reason is cheaper than the brewery!

Whirlpool will be moving to 16oz cans soon. Probably in July.

Is it more convenient for you or you just follow the "trend", or whatever it is? Just curious. Personally, I'd like the cans to stay a 12oz size.

Please don't listen to this man.

A pounder is great in the hand, more visually appealing and contains more delicious beer. A no brainer.

Its a combo of things. The biggest factor is Iron Heart prefers to can one size per day. So if we wanted to move our IPA's to 16oz cans we kind of needed to move Whirlpool. We are one of the rare breweries that packages 12oz cans in 4 packs. Typically they are in 6 packs. That move wasn't possible for us due to our limited volumes. So we hopped on the trend, and went with what consumers seem to prefer 16oz canned 4-packs. There are other things involved as well but those are the main two reasons.

Plus, for me personally a 12oz can of whirlpool lasts only a few minutes due to its crush-ability. So the extra 4 oz will extend the drinking pleasure by another minute or so.

Thanks. Checked twitter and they said they were gone in 30 minutes. Not a surprise with the Second Fiddle crowd there yesterday.
