    Great info. Interesting to know the Alchemist is 8X larger than Night Shift.

    @masterob8 hey - whatever amount of Whirlpool cans these guys dont buy cause they b&tch about price, I'll take! This stuff transferred over really well to cans - love it.

    For your next collaboration, see if you can get Yankee Candle to make one that captures the scent off of the nose of Whirlpool. I swear that smell is heaven on Earth!

    Thanks @masterob8, nice to get your perspective. I'm looking for the cans later today. Getting to Everett from the southern end of Franklin near RI is just not an easy thing. So I appreciate the access to these and chance to try them. Somehow, the can vs. large format bottle volume math never seems like what it is. I don't know why. I buy $10 bombers, but think $14 a six pack is a lot. I think it's the comparison factor. Nobody sells a cheap 750ML bottles, but you can get good beer in a six of cans for $9.

    I wish we could all (myself included especially) be more critical of large format pricing and more understanding of pricing for things like these Night Shift cans. People like me who have paid $8 for a bomber of an IPA (Sculpin, insert dozens of others) really shouldn't be complaining about these prices, as that $8 "large" bottle is a ~$17 four pack! :slight_smile:

    Rob, thank you for the insight. I'm out of state on vacation, but hope to enjoy the cans during the next run.

    From what I have read Alchemist produces roughly 9,000bbls of beer per year. This year we are on track to produce about 1,200 (made in 1.5bbls batches). Which is more beer than we have ever produced but still way less than the Alchemist and pretty much every other brewery. Cheers.

    FYI - Next canning of Morph IPA will be on September 9th!

    Thanks Rob. I've always found your beers to be fairly prices for the brewery size. I do have a question about the above. Why not use plain cans and a small sticker (similar to how Alchemist does with Focal Banger etc.,.)? Stickers aren't super expensive and It looks good imo. I would envision that to be a cheaper option. I'll hand sticker your whole next canned batch for a few beers. :slight_smile:

    People complain about price is every facet of life. I'm guilty of it too. Don't take it personally. You can't stop it.

    Picked up morph yesterday. It is good, but if I had set out on a vision quest for it, I would've been disappointed. Unique taste and an especially unique color.

    I'll try the future releases if I come across them. I can get behind the batch #x strategy/series that they are doing.

    I've tried Whirlpool before on tap at the brewery and can't wait to get it in a can! These guys are doing a great job at what they do. Every time I make my way up from CT they always have an endless tap list full of fantastic beers @ a great price! Their weisse beers go for $12 a 750ml and they are full of fruits and spices like no other. I'd drop that any day...:wink:

    Whirlpool taste great. Love the color and the Hop Flavor, do I sense some Hull Melon perhaps?

    Whirlpool looks like a glass white grapefruit juice. Besides Heady, I've never seen an IPA so unfiltered. It's awesome lol

    Whirlpool has some wheat and oats in the grain bill and combined with heavy hopping makes it look quite milky/juicy. None of our beers are filtered so its pretty damn hazy for a while after packaging. After 3-4 weeks it starts to brighten up but I wouldn't wait that long to enjoy!

    Lots of talk about cash here and not much comment about the brew.

    @masterrob8

    Whirlpool:

    Drinkin it from the can. Took the first whiff and sip then told the wife "This is one of the best beers I've ever had." (I'm one who prefers stink over bitterness). The stink doesn't really stick for the duration of the "beer's life" though. Can has been open for five minutes and it has declined significantly. Other than that, pretty good. Really light. Could def session it if it was produced in masses.
