I just picked up a 2012 night stalker and it caught my eye that the label says, best if drank 180 days from date, as soon as i got home, i took out the 2010 and noticed that it says good for 5 years. Obv the brewmaster has changed hands, which we already know, but is this a sign to come from future In-Bev GI products??
checked their website . . . the way I read it is they say it's best to drink 180 days AFTER bottling date Serving Suggestions: Preferred Glass: Snifter Cellaring Notes: 180 days after bottled-on date
i hope my 2010 night stalker is still good LOL but damn that is odd i wonder if it is a different brew than prior ? why would one age and the other best drank soon? this is a good question lol
Night Stalker is a heavily hopped version of the BCBS base beer. It certainly holds up great and should even age into something awesome... but... the hops are the entire point of the beer, and thus it is meant to be drank fresh just like an IPA.
Just bought one myself yesterday and thought the exact same thing...I am going to pick up a couple more and age them to 2 and 3 yrs...
I still have a 2010 and 2011 in the cellar. I have also had both fresh within 2 to 3 months of bottling. I looking forward to having them again. I think I'll open the 2010 in January for my Bday.
