NightShift brewing releases first barrel society installment

I'm still kicking myself for not signing up! O well next year !

 

My girlfriend entered me for Christmas and I'm now trusteeing as well. Can't make it today, but gonna pick up my bottles soon. I'm excited. Also saw they have a dark berliner with lime zest upcoming which I am infinitely stoked about.

 

Yeah, I am super duper stoked about that berliner. Any idea what kind of barrel it's going into?

Also, REALLY pumped that they're pouring samples for Barrel Society members at pickup. This way I don't have to sacrifice my first bottle simply to decide when to drink.

 

I'm looking forward to this one. I've always enjoyed the brandy barrel beers that I've had, and there never seems to be nearly enough of them.

I can't make it tonight, though I'm curious on reports from people who go as to the parking situation during a release "party".

it's yummy! a little hot for me, so i'm going to sit on mine for a while, i think, but the brandy barrel + honey both come through nicely.

 

Any more reports on Elixir? Looks like they have some extra bottles for sale. Haven't even picked mine up yet, so curious how good it is...

 

This is just based off the sample, but I thought it was a little boozy. The brandy barrel definitely comes through, so if you like that, you'll like the beer. The wheatwine aspect of it didn't really add much for me.
