NJ Bourbon County 2014 thread

anyone having luck up in Sussex County? no one seems to have any definitive info at the stores in the area.

 

Pretty sure I went to the same place. Local as well. Was in there around 40 minutes after their tweet and all that was left was 13 or 14 bottles of BCBS (but now all makes sense if they called people first who were able to reserve their bottles before they tweeted they had it). Thought it was interesting they would reserve bottles over the phone but wouldn't quote a price as per their tweet. Also was interesting she said they'd be getting Vanilla in tomorrow as an afterthought and the list when I was in there was already at 18 for the one case she said they'd receive.

Btw, did you happen to ask their price on the Pappy? I forgot to do so.

 

I know most of you guys are too far to want to make the trip but I was at Whole Foods in tribeca today and there were dozens of cases (of regular), 23.99, no limit. Coffee sold out, said they weren't getting vanilla. Holding some BW in the back.

 

What time did you go?

 

I was there about 1pm.

 

Nyc will have base bcbs all year. Most likely you'll find 2013 bcbs.

 

Just to be clear if this was in response to my post, WF has 2014 by the case.

 

That's what it's looking like. Haven't seen or heard a single person find some vanilla in SJ. Pretty frustrating since we did get Backyard last year

 

Haven't heard anything in SJ either. I'm going to hold out some hope though since we got a ton of Backyard last year, even saw it sitting on shelves a couple times. Isn't GI handled by the same distributor down here that constantly mismanages Firestone releases? I bet it will be the same as last year, it'll show up without warning and you'll just have to luck into it.

 

Any sightings in the Monmouth/Ocean area yet? I have called a few stores who all seem to be unsure if they are getting it or not.

 

I heard Wegmans in Ocean got it yesterday. That's pretty much it. No one else got theirs yet.

Yeah basically. I didn't bother making the trip down there. Then heard it sold out quite quick. Glad I didn't waste my time and gas.

 

Damn, I'm 5 minutes from that Wegmans. Ridgeway got some reg. and BW left as of last night when I went there. Sold out of Coffee

 

Stopped into Max's Liquors in Neptune (off Rt. 71) during lunch. One case received, holding it behind the counter for two bottle a person limit, and it's $14.99. No variants.

Also, was told Wegman's in Ocean may receive a case of Vanilla on Friday so perhaps people want to call and inquire about a list on that. And, was told Wegman's got five cases of BCBS but didn't know they should limit sales so two people bought a case each. If true, this may explain why it went so quickly.

This came from a guy at Max's so it could all just be inter-store jealous gobblydgook.

Just to clarify? You paid $14.99 a bottle for regular BCBS?
